We are in full swing with our luncheons! Come join us on Monday October 18th, 2021 at 11AM, where we will have our annual Halloween costume contest. Everyone is welcome. Enjoy good food and have a great time socializing with old and new friends. If you have recently moved to the Temecula Valley or have lived here for many years and want to get out more, meet new people in 2021 and have fun, Temecula Valley Newcomers Club (TVNC) is for you. Come see what it's all about at the TVNC Monthly Luncheon at Wilson Creek Winery, 35960 Rancho California Rd., Temecula. Paid reservations are required at least one week prior to the luncheon, please call Gwen Jimenez @ 951-461-1525. This club is a social organization with many different activities for members such as card games, books clubs, mahjong, golf, dominos, bunco, bridge, theater trips, lunch and dinner groups and much more. Friends of the Murrieta Library Kim Summers Kimberly Summers, City Manager of the City of Murrieta, will be the guest speaker at the October 19th meeting of the Friends of the Murrieta Library at 10:00 am in the Community Room of the Murrieta Public Library. Of course, CDC guidelines will be in effect as necessary. Featured in the summer edition of Inland Empire Magazine, Ms Summers was recently named “Woman of the Year” for the 67th Assembly District by Assembly Member Kelly Seyarto. She was recently elected as a representative to the League of California Cities City Managers Department At-Large and was awarded the “Ethical Hero Award” from California Affiliation of the International City Management Association (Cal-ICMA), something she’s very proud of.
The Friends invite you to come and enjoy the presentation by Ms Summers, visit with new friends and neighbors and enjoy the lovely refreshments provided. The public and guests are invited.

Day of the Dead Día De Los Muertos Celebration
This year the Menifee Day of the Dead Event, will be held on October 29, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Central Park in the Menifee Town Center located at 30268 Civic Plaza Dr, Menifee, CA 92586. The Day of the Dead is a family friendly event that will exhibit cultural traditional through live music, dance performances, children's activities, and a wide range of food and retail vendors. This event not only promotes cultural awareness and engagement, but it also supports the cultural community

Temecula Valley Elks Fills Backpacks for Rose Again Foundation
Temecula Valley Elks #2801 received a grant in the amount of $5,500 to help provide assistant and help for the Rose Again Foundation! The Rose Again Foundation is a local agency who helps our local foster children. Pictured are our members stuffing 125 backpacks for the children for this school year. As the year unfolds, the Temecula Valley Elks will be helping these children, especially during the holidays! This program is chaired by Vicki Puterbaugh and Angie Stevanus!
