ismo Pat creates brand inspired by daughter’s poem in the fall of 2008. Longtime Pismo Beach Realtor Pat McCann, a.k.a. Pismo Pat, was re-reading his daughter Allie’s 2004 school poem, Pismo Paradise. The poem, which utilized personification and captured the essentials of beach life in Pismo Beach from a 12 year olds perspective, became the inspiration for the creation of Pismodise.

The first product line had two shirts, a cap, bumper sticker and postcard. Before long, the word Pismodise was being used by locals and tourists alike as a new way to describe the Pismo Beach area, with the apparel becoming a way to show Pismo pride.
Noting that locals and tourists commonly used the word paradise in their daily description of Pismo Beach, Pismo Pat combined the two words of the poem’s title into one new descriptive word – Pismodise. Friends jumped in to help, a Pismodise LLC was formed, two registered trademarks were granted and, to build interest and a brand, the group started a small apparel/accessories company bearing the Pismodise name and logo.
Currently, Pismodise offers over 40 products with the brand name and logos including Pismodise wines, produced by Gary and Teresa Burk of Costa de Oro Winery in Santa Maria. The Pismodise Pinot Grigio is a white wine that truly captures the Pismo lifestyle. Clean and refreshing, with beautiful stone fruit aromas, this Pinot Grigio has become a local favorite. The Pismodise Sunset Red wine is a delicious blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon , Syrah and Petite Syrah. It is a bit of work to reach the top, but once you do the 360-degree views of the ocean shoreline, inland peaks, and Morro Rock are absolutely incredible! I recommend heading up just before sunset! The owners usually are present and are quick to take care of you. —Lani - Fin’s Seafood Restaurant: Relaxing and family friendly atmosphere. The menu has great choices and offers specials for kids too. Every dish is cooked to perfection and as fresh as can be. The menu offers international & seasonal choices that are sooo good! If you’re lucky you might catch local musicians playing outside on the patio. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of Jimmy Buffett’s “go to” stops while visiting Southern California. Their happy hour it’s all week long starting at 4pm, just in time for a perfect ocean view sunset. The decor is fun and exciting for the kids and you can take some awesome family pics with their favorite Pirate mascot too. —Zorina - Roxanne’s Cafe - Outdoor garden setting, patio chairs, friendly service, cute cloth napkins and scrumptious food! My favorite little lunch spot is Roxanne’s Cafe. This quaint vegetarian café is located in the courtyard of Smiling Dog Yoga and serves fresh, locally grown, mostly organic dishes that are full of flavor and unique ingredients. The menu changes seasonally and there are always yummy dessert options to choose from! Roxanne’s is open for lunch (11am-3pm) and is closed on Sundays. I love to meet friends here for lunch, relax and enjoy fresh pressed juice or a smoothie, kombucha or tea... I’ve been keeping this place my little secret until now! —Michelle - SLO Brew - The food and beer is great, the servers and bartenders are always friendly, and there is always a great show to look forward to. ada Mason has been what she calls a “Junker” for over 20 years. She owned her first store in Branson, Missouri where she lived for about 12 years. She started in a small house in the Historic District of Downtown Branson, where she incorporated a Tea Room with her small Antique Business. The rest as they say is History.... After leaving Missouri, she returned to her roots, Reno and the Lake Tahoe Area. Booth renting seemed to be the best thing to do, until she opened another store. She loves to repurpose and reuse old and vintage items. she taught herself to use woodworking tools rials. A wonderfully bright and inviting store which houses dreaminspired unique antiques and vintage eye candy that will delight you while captivating music allows one to peruse the aisles in joyous glee.
