LANDFORM WATERBODIES WILD VEGETATION SETTLEMENT
The story of the temple of Mata Jayanti Devi goes back about 550 years. One of the brother of the King of the estates was married to the daughter of the king of Kangra who was a great devotee of Mata Jayanti Devi. When her marriage was fixed she was very anxious because it meant going away from her deity. When the marriage party started back from Hathnaur with the bride’s doli, a miracle happened. The doli turned very heavy and nobody could move it. The king decided to establish a temple for the Devi on a hillock in his estate. Presently, the temple is located 15 km from Chandigarh in Ropar district of Punjab, on a hillock in the Shivalik ranges. At the foothill lies the village Jayanti Majri that owes its existence and name to the temple, on the left bank of a seasonal stream Jayanti Rao.

Vernacular settlement
Jayanti Majri, which got it’s name from the Temple situated on a hillock, showcases a negligent attitude towards the access of the Temple and it’s surroundings. A straight fleet of staircase with wild growth surrounding it. This situation made access to the Temple limited to a certain group of people and also increasing mosquito growth in the village. The design proposal was a ramp which make the access of the temple easier for old and the disabled. A market place and a Art Museum is proposed to encourage the use of this potential place and also make the outsiders aware of the historic importance of this village.

Chandigarh Pavilion
SEMESTER 5, COMPETITION Group Project- First Runner’s up Pavilion Design INSTALLATION INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR, DELHI, INDIA Softwares used - Archicad, Sketchup, Photoshop
This was a competition for the design of the Chandigarh pavilion for the India- International Trade fair that is held in Pragati Maidan, Delhi in the month of November. The main aim of the design was to bring out the essence of Chandigarh with a given theme of 'Digital India', where in each state had to showcase their development in acheiving a digitally unified nation. Our main aim was to design a pavilion which would not only create a landmark representing Chandigarh, but also tell the visitors about the Evolution of the city beautiful and give them an insight to the Master, Corbusier’s mind. The theme Digital India was represented through LED boards, digital kiosks, writing boards, holograms, etc. A special roof structure was also made which represents the current free Internet Scheme launched by our Hon'ble Prime Minister in collaboration with Reliance Jio.

IALD Lighting Workshop
SEMESTER 6, WORKSHOP Group Project : Team of 6 Design and Installation of lighting fixtures in college premises INSTALLATION- PUBLIC CCA, CHANDIGARH Skills used - Drawing, Hands-on skills with lighting
The International Association of Lighting Designers, IALD organised a Lighting design workshop in our college, CCA along with mondo*arc India and ISLE. The theme of the workshop was to light up areas of the college which were not used to their full potential because of no light.
Good lighting is felt before being noticed. ~TEJAS JOSHI
We got the parking area of our college. The basic concept involved a journey of our life. A starry night was created on the ground by putting LED lights in bottles and spreading them on the ground. A circular light fixture marked the entrance to the area behind which was a lit-up concrete sculpture (the lit up frame makes the lid). Irregular patterns on the box and the colored light depicts the journey of a person. The biggest tree in the parking was lit up so as to depict the beginnning of a new journey.

Mural Design
SEMESTER 5, COMPETITION Individual Project Design and Execution of Wall mural LIVE ART PROJECT CHANDIGARH Softwares used - Autocad, Photoshop
Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy in collaboration with the Chandigarh Administration held a mural design competition for a 90 feet long wall in a hospital. This competition was first of its kind in Chandigarh. The theme was to show Nature, Art, Environment Health and Happiness in Le Corbusier’s city. To bring Chandigarh alive through this mural was the main concept behind the design. The mural amalgamates the lifestyle of Chandigarh with the Architecture and Art through colorful graphics. It is a mixture of the attractions of Chandigarh and Le Corbusier’s thoughts about the city. As it was a Hospital wall, so bright colors were used so as to make people feel good as they come.
