A MEANINGFUL LEGACY SUPPORTING WORLD-CLASS CARE

David Weinberger has a long fundraising history with Sinai Health, but it was the care a loved one received at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital that inspired him to create a family legacy. He saw first-hand how it was truly life-changing.

“You watch someone go into the hospital, with a long road of rehabilitation ahead of them and you can’t help but worry,” David explains. “The relief was immediate when we found out there was a bed available at Hennick Bridgepoint.”

It wasn’t just the space, that is purpose-built, but the staff and their expertise were exceptional.

“The staff there were very in tune with his needs and what he wanted to achieve,” he recalls. “He had a full recovery, in large part, because of their dedication.” So when the opportunity arose to continue his philanthropy and give a Legacy gift through the Life Insurance Matching Program, he jumped at it.

In conversations with his wife and children, who wanted to be part of the gift, they decided to create and gift policies in his daughters’ names. “Sinai Health allowed us a way to include our entire family. It was a legacy we could leave together,” David explains.

The Life Insurance Matching program supports Sinai Health’s highest priority needs and ensures the future sustainability of the hospital.

“They care for our loved ones when they’re vulnerable,” says David. “Investing in Sinai Health and the kind of care my family received at Hennick Bridgepoint is investing in our future.”
