Definition Reverse osmosis process is base don nature and has been used for more than 30 years. These semi-permeable membranes only allow nearly pure water to flow through, by removing excessive salts during the process. Likewise, it also rejects bacteria and micro-organisms, heavy metals, virus. Type of membrane: Spiral wound Membrane consists of 3 layers 1. Cross linked fully aromatic polyamide 0.3 µm. 2. Polysulfone 45 µm . 3. Non woven fabric polyester 100 µm. Spacer: EPDM

We recommend removing residual free chlorine by pre-treatment prior to membrane exposure. We recommend replacing it every 24 months max. GENERAL INFORMATION • All membranes are tested strictly and vacuum sealed in a bag containing a solution of sodium-bisulphite and propylene glycol to prevent biological growth in short-term storage and transport. • It is suggested that firs hour of pure water to be rejected. • Keep elements moist after initial wetting. • To prevent biological growth during prolonged system shutdown, it is recommended that membrane elements be immersed in a preservative solution.

• The membrane shows some resistance to short-term attack by chlorine (hypochlorite). Continuous exposure, however, may damage the membrane and should be avoided. • The customer is fully responsible for effects of incompatible chemicals and lubricants on elements. • Use just glycerine as a lubricant if is needed. • The use of this product in and of itself does not necessarily guarantee the removal of cysts and pathogens from water. Effective cyst and pathogen reduction is dependent of the complete system design and on the operation and maintenance of the system. Code: 090007

AMI nanofiltration membrane 1812 - 150GPD (25) AMI nanofiltration membrane 1812 - 200GPD (25)
Nanofiltration Membrane Elements: NF5 What is Nanofiltration? Nanofiltration (NF), in concept and operation, is much the same as reverse osmosis. The key difference is the degree of removal of monovalent ions such as chlorides. Reverse osmosis removes the monovalent ions at 98-99% level at 200psi (13,78bar). Nanofiltration membranes’ removal of monovalent ions varies between 50% to 90% depending on the material and manufacture of the membrane. For this reason, there is a variety of Nanofiltration membranes available. Each type is particularly suited to a certain application and may not be acceptable to a different application. Nanofiltration membranes (NF membranes) and systems are used for water softening, food and pharmaceutical applications. Recommended Operating Conditions * Maximum operating pressure: 300psi (20,68bar) * Maximum operating temperature: 113°F (45°C) * Maximum feed water turbidity: 1 NTU * Maximum feed water silt density index (15 min): 4 * Chlorine tolerance: <1 ppm * Maximum Pressure Drop: 13psi (0,89bar) * Feed water pH range, Continuous Operation: 4-11 * Feed water pH range, Short-Term Cleaning (30 minutes): 1-12 * Average Salt Rejection: 50% * Average Hardness Rejection: +97% * Dimensions: L-11,75"(29,85cm) I-10,25"(26,03cm) D-3"(7,61cm) Note: Performance specifications based on 2000 mg/l magnesium sulfate, 70 psi (4.8 bar) applied pressure, 77ºF (25ºC) feed water temperature and 15% recovery. Element permeate flow may vary -20%/+30%. Code: 090002
