BORIS BAT
Susanne Roos and Aniek Bartels
This is Boris. Boris Bat. He loves to eat mosquitos. If you ask him, there’s nothing better than a delicious mosquito cookie. He’s got incredible ears, razor-sharp teeth and is a champion flyer.
Did you know that a scale can be a trampoline? How much does a joke weigh anyway? Or friendship? And what do you do when you’re the only creature in the whole forest that hibernates in the winter?
This first book contains three original stories about Boris Bat and his friends. And sometimes the charming bat needs a little help from his readers: turn the book upside down, give it a shake and help Boris find his way. You might even want to do a little hanging upside down yourself. Because there’s always more to see and sometimes the world is just a little brighter from a different angle.

A new day was peeking through the curtains, but Prince Thijn was not in the mood for a new day. Not today, not yesterday and not the day before yesterday. To be honest, not any of the days before that either.
Prince Thijn has had enough. He needs a break from all the shaking hands, small talk, nodding politely and pretending. He needs someone to step in for him for a little while, so he puts out an ad in the newspaper: Prince seeks prince. Temporarily. As in, not forever.
When the substitute prince arrives, Thijn is even more confused. What is going on? An original picture book in which Tiny Fisscher and Coen Hamelink discuss feelings of love between two boys in a way that is both funny and endearing for young children.

ENZO AND THE BATTLE AGAINST THE ONIS
Thomas van Luyn and Sophie PluimOne day, Enzo receives a mysterious box in the mail. It’s made of a coppery metal and is about the size of a large eraser. When his cheeky friend Kira spins the little wheel for the first time, they discover that it’s actually some kind of zippo lighter, and it gives him a strange feeling.
It turns out that the lighter can send him to different rooftops in the city, which gets him into more trouble than he’d like. This is how he accidentally ends up in the house of his horrible teacher, Mr. Harry, and how he meets Ken, a boy standing on a roof with a cape, a stick and green rain boots.
Ken tells him that he’s hunting Onis—evil spirits that swoop into people’s houses and make them do bad things. Before Enzo knows it, he and his special lighter find themselves in a battle against the Onis. But how do you win a war against evil spirits when all you’ve got is a blanket for a cape and two friends who have no idea what they’re doing either?
