กิ จ ก ร ร ม เ ดื อ น ก ุ ม ภ า พั น ธ์ 4 ก ุมภาพันธ์ 2556: NIST Amnesty Club, New International School of Thailand เป็ นเจ้าภาพจัดแข่งขันโต้วาทีระดับ มัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย ในหัวข้อ “ยกเลิกการใช้โทษประหารชีวิต” นักเรียนมัธยมปลาย 6 คน ได้แสดงความคิดสนับสนุนและ ค้านในญัตติ “โทษประหารชีวิตควรถูกยกเลิก” จุดประสงค์ของกิจกรรมนีเ้ พื่อส่งเสริมให้นกั เรียนได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นใน ประเด็นซึ่งมีความเห็นที่หลากหลาย หลังการโต้วาทีมีชว่ งเวลาสาหรับการถาม-ตอบ ซึ่งทาให้ผเู้ ข้าร่วมไดมีโอกาสซักถามและ อธิบาย ตบท้ายกิจกรรมด้วย NIST Amnesty Club ในฐานะกลุม่ นักเรียนที่สนับสนุนการทางานของแอมเนสตี้ ได้กล่าวถึงจุดยืน และเหตุผลของแอมเนสตี้ในการรณรงค์ให้ยกเลิกโทษประหารชีวิต รวมถึงได้เรียกร้องให้ผเู้ ข้าร่วมกิจกรรมลงชือ่ เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ ยกเลิกการใช้โทษประหารชีวิต ซึ่งถือเป็ นการละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนขัน้ พื้นฐานของมนุษย์คือสิทธิในการมีชีวิต ซึ่งมนุษย์ทกุ คนพึง ได้รับสิทธินเี้ สมอกันโดยไม่คานึงถึงสถานภาพ ชาติพันธุ์ ศาสนา หรือชาติกาเนิด ไม่ว่าจะเป็ นคนดี หรือคนไม่ดี เป็ นสิทธิที่ไม่อาจ พรากไปจากบุคคลได้ Death to the Death Penalty On the 4th of February 2013, the NIST Amnesty Club, New International School of Thailand hosted a High School Debate Competition with regards to the abolishment of the death penalty. Six Grade 11-12 students presented the affirmative and negative side of the motion “The death penalty should be abolished”. The aim of this competition was to encourage the NIST community to discuss this controversial issue. The debate competition was followed with a Q&A session in which participants engaged with the entire student body. The Amnesty Club then discussed the role and stance of Amnesty International and distributed petitions to gain support of those who share similar views. We hope this fruitful debate shed light on arguments regarding the death penalty and stimulated students to take a more active role in our fight against it.

กิ จ ก ร ร ม เ ดื อ น ก ุ ม ภ า พั น ธ์ นักศึกษากลุม่ Amnesty Shield มหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญ ออกบูธแอมเนสตี้ เพื่อให้ความรูค้ วาม เข้าใจในสิทธิมนุษยชนขัน้ พืน้ ฐาน แนะนาการทางานของแอมเนสตี้ และชักชวนผูค้ นให้สมัคร สมาชิกหรือลงชื่อเพื่อสนับสนุนการทางานปกป้อง คุม้ ครองและส่งเสริมสิทธิมนุษยชน โดยได้ ออกบูธแอมเนสตี้ที่ถนนข้าวสาร เมือ่ วันที่ 2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2556 และที่เมกะบางนา เมือ่ วันที่ 15 กุมภาพันธ์ 2556 กิจกรรมนี้ประสบความสาเร็จในการรวบรวมลายเซ็นและสร้างความรับรู้ เกี่ยวกับแอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล ประเทศไทย มีผเู้ ข้าร่วมจานวนมากที่ไม่รวู้ ่ามีแอมเนสตี้ ในประเทศไทย กิจกรรมนี้ทาให้ผเู้ ข้าร่วมรูจ้ ักและรับรูก้ ารทางานของแอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล นอกจากนีย้ ังได้ร่วมปฏิบัติการเพื่อปกป้อง คุม้ ครองสิทธิมนุษยชน โดยการลงชื่อ เรียกร้องเพือ่ ผูถ้ กู ละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชน ABAC public relations workshop- Amnesty International Thailand. Amnesty Shield's public event at Khao Saan road , February 2, 2013 and Mega Bangna , February 15, 2013. The event was successful in collecting petition and raising awareness about the presence of Amnesty International in Thailand. Since a lot of visitors were not aware about the existence of Amnesty International in Thailand this activity helped raise awareness about the presence of Amnesty International in the country and the work being done. 19 ก ุมภาพันธ์ 2556: ห้องเรียนสิทธิมน ุษยชนศึกษา โรงเรียนนานาชาติ บางกอกเกรซ (Bangkok Grace International School) มีนกั เรียนเข้าร่วมประมาณ 30 คน นักเรียนสนใจเรียนรูใ้ นประเด็นสิทธิมนุษยชน และรวมถึงการทางานปกป้อง คุม้ ครองและส่งเสริมสิทธิมนุษยชนของแอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล หลังกิจกรรม นักเรียนได้ลงชื่อในโปรเจคบีวันมอ (Be One More) เพื่อให้แน่ใจว่าจะได้รบั รูข้ า่ วสารและได้ ปฏิบัติการเพือ่ ยุติการละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชน ซึ่งบ่งชีว้ ่าพวกเขาสนใจที่เรียนรูเ้ กีย่ วกับแอม เนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล ประเทศไทย นักเรียนจานวนมากตระหนักในเรื่องสิทธิมนุษยชน และงานของแอมเนสตี้ ครูที่เข้าร่วมก็สนใจทีจ่ ะให้นกั เรียนมีสว่ นร่วมในงานรณรงค์ของ แอมเนสตี้ และยังกระตุน้ ให้นกั เรียนเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันรายการ Young Journalist Award 2013 ซึ่งจัดโดยแอมเนสตี้

February 19, 2013: Human Rights Education session at Bangkok Grace International School (BGIS). Around 30 middle level and high school students attended the two hour long session. Students agreed to sign the Be One More form after being introduced to the concepts of human rights and AI's work. This indicates that they are interested in learning more about Amnesty International Thailand. More students are aware about human rights and AI's work. The teachers attending were interested in getting students involved in AI's campaigns and had encouraged students to participate in the Young Journalist Award of the year Competition.
