เมื่อวันอำทิตย์ที่ 10 มีนำคม 2556 เวลำ 16.30 น. สมำชิก อำสำสมัครและ นักกิจกรรมแอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล ประเทศไทย กว่ำ 30 คน รวมตัวกัน บริเวณตลำดนัดจตุจักร กรุงเทพมหำนคร เพื่อจัดกิจกรรมรณรงค์ "โอบำม่ำ ฮำเรมเชค" เต้นสะบัดสนับสนุนสนธิสัญญำควบคุมกำรค้ำอำวุธ เรียกร้องให้ ประธำนำธิบดีบำรัค โอบำม่ำ ลงนำมในสนธิสัญญำควบคุมกำรค้ำอำวุธ แอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล ระบุว่ำเป็ นสิ่งจำเป็ นที่ตอ้ งมีกำรควบคุมกำร เคลื่อนย้ำยอำวุธระหว่ำงประเทศอย่ำงเข้มงวด ทั้งนีเ้ พื่อปกป้องสิทธิมนุษยชน และคุม้ ครองผูห้ ญิงและเด็กผูห้ ญิงจำกควำมรุนแรง โดยผูน้ ำของประเทศต่ำง จะร่วมประชุมกันครั้งสุดท้ำยเพื่อเจรจำต่อรองร่ำงสนธิสัญญำฉบับดังกล่ำวใน วันที่ 18 มีนำคม
On Sunday 10 March 2012 at 16.30, more than 30 Amnesty International Thailand’s members, volunteers and activists gathered at Chatuchak Weekend Market in downtown Bangkok for a “Obama Harlem Shake” Campaign. They danced in support of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) and called on President Barak Obama to sign the treaty. Amnesty International finds it utterly important that in order to protect human rights and prevent women and girls from violence, international arms trade shall be put under strict control. Leaders of countries shall convene for the last time to negotiate the UN sponsored draft of the treaty on 18 March.

Introduced students and teachers to AI's work and discussed the possibilities of future activities with amnesty club members present at the fair. Amnesty club members from Bangkok Patana School also initiated a Obama harlem shake for ATT at the fair. More young people taking action and signing up as be one more members show that they are interested in and want to stay informed about the human rights movement. The fair also increased the visibility of AI Thailand among international schools in Thailand.

22-23 มีนาคม 2556: ‘2012-2013 Young Journalist of the Year Award—Write the Wrongs’
แอมเนสเตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล ประเทศไทย ร่วมกับโรงเรียนรีเจ้นท์ พัทยำ จัดประกวดนักข่ำวเยำวชน เขียนบทควำมภำษำอังกฤษในประเด็นสิทธิ มนุษยชน โดยแบ่งเป็ นสองระดับคือ อำยุตำ่ กว่ำ 14 ปี และ อำยุตำ่ กว่ำ 18 ปี มีผสู้ นใจส่งผลงำนเข้ำประกวดกว่ำ 50 คน จำก 15 โรงเรียน นำนำชำติทวั ่ ประเทศไทย ผูเ้ ข้ำรอบ 10 ลำดับแรกของแต่ละระดับอำยุได้ เข้ำชมกำรทำงำนของหนังสือพิมพ์เดอะเนชัน่ เพื่อได้เห็นกำรทำงำนจริง และเรียนรูเ้ ทคนิคกำรเขียนและกำรเก็บข้อมูลข่ำว และอบรมเชิง ปฏิบตั กิ ำรจรรยำบรรณนักข่ำวและกำรเขียนข่ำวประเด็นสิทธิมนุษยชน ผูช้ นะระดับอำยุตำ่ กว่ำ 18 ปี ได้แก่ เมย์ อันเดอร์วดู จำกโรงเรียนรีเจ้นท์ พัทยำ เขียนบทควำมในประเด็นกำรเข้ำถึงกำรศึกษำของแรงงำนข้ำมชำติ ที่ผดิ กฎหมำยในประเทศไทย ผูช้ นะระดับอำยุตำ่ กว่ำ 14 ปี ได้แก่ สุทิชำ กำญเจริญ จำกโรงเรียน นำนำชำติเซนต์แอนดรู ชนะด้วยบทควำมประเด็นชะตะกรรมชำวโรฮิงญำ ผูช้ นะเลิศได้รับรำงวัล เงินสด 5,000 บำท โล่ประกำศเกียรติคณ ุ ประกำศนียบัตร เช็คของขวัญ สมำชิก 1 ปี แมกกำซีนเดอะเนชัน่ จูเนียร์ และสมำชิกแอมเนสตี้ อินเตอร์เนชัน่ แนล ประเทศไทย 5 ปี
March 22-23, 2013: ‘2012-2013 Young Journalist of the Year Award—Write the Wrongs’ Amnesty International Thailand’s ‘2012-2013 Young Journalist of the Year Award’ reached its final round on 23 March 2013 with the 10 shortlisted participants in each category (Under 14 and Under 18) orally presenting their articles in front of the judges. The winners were unveiled at the end of a day long workshop on human rights and journalism in Bangkok. The competition attracted over 50 participants from 15 international schools in Thailand and was split in two categories. The top 10 in each category were invited to the one and half day workshop along with a parent or a teacher. The half day media visit to Nation Junior on 22 March introduced budding writers to the basics and techniques of collecting and reporting stories. The workshop on the following day attempted to train the shortlisted participants to become responsible journalists through hands-on instruction from human rights and media experts. The competition was run in collaboration with The Regent’s School Pattaya. The winning awards in both categories consisted of a cash prize, trophy, certificate, gift voucher, one year subscription to the Nation Junior magazine and five year membership to Amnesty International Thailand. Mae Underwood from The Regent’s School Pattaya won the Under 18 category and received her winning award from the competition judges. Mae’s article focused on the role of education in improving the conditions of ‘illegal migrants’ in Thailand.
