MaRia de Freiburg
1932 wurde dieses Haus vom Fribourger Architekt Léonhard Dénervaud gebaut. Zu dieser Zeit gehörte es zu den modernsten Häusern in Fribourg. Das Haus entsprach dem Geist des «Neuen Bauens» der 30er Jahre des letzten Jahrhunderts. Mit diesem Haus wurde Architekturgeschichte geschrieben.
1932 the house was built by Architect Léonhard Dénervaud (Fribourg). At this time it was one of the most modern houses in the City of Fribourg. It embodied the Spirit of «Neues Bauen» which found its beginning in the 30’s. With this building a new chapter was written in the History of Architecture.
Ich liebe diese alte Villa und habe sie 30 Jahre lang besetzt, ver채ndert, habe versucht, das Neue in das Alte zu integrieren. So hat sich das Haus stets ver채ndert, ist aber nie von Grund auf neu entstanden.
I love this old Villa and occupied it for the last 30 years. While remodeling it I tried to integrate the New into the Old. This is how the house constantly evolved without loosing its core.
Die Sandtöne in der Küche erinnern an die Wüste und die Toscana. Oft werde ich gefragt: Warum gibt es hier keinen Kochherd? Die Antwort ist: Es gibt einzelne InduktionsKochplatten; sie sind modern, austauschbar und preiswert. Weil sie mobil sind, kann man mit ihnen auch im Garten kochen.
The sandcolors In the kitchen remind one of the desert and Tuscany. Often I was asked: Why isn't there a cooking stove? The answer is that there are single induction plates; modern, interchangable and affordable. Because they are mobile you can also cook in the garden.
Im Sommer liebe ich es, draussen zu sein. Ich kann mittten in der Stadt in meinem ÂŤkleinen WaldÂť das Vogelgezwitscher geniessen.
In summer I love to be outside. In the center of the city I can enjoy the singing of the birds in the little forest.
Das Geplätscher des Bächleins, das ich nach Belieben an- und abstellen kann (Umwälzpumpe), ist ein natürlicher Lärmschutz und geistige Erholung. Thailand und die Wasserfälle im Engadin inspirierten mich zum Anlegen dieses künstlichen Bachlaufes.
The babbling of the brook is a natural protection against noise and promotes spiritual recovery.There is a pump you can turn on or of as you like.Thailand and the waterfalls of the Engiadina region inspired me to build this artificial creek.
Wohn-Raum und seine Funktionalität: 11 Uhr: ich lass mich auf dem Wohnzimmertisch massieren. 13 Uhr: ich male am Bild «...statt dir einen Brief zu schreiben». 18 Uhr: Apéro et Dinner chez MaRia. 23 Uhr: Party mit DJ Adrien. W. küsst mich auf dem grauen Sofa ich entführe ihn ins Boudoir ...
Living Room and its funtionality: at 11am massage on the livingroom table; at 1pm I am painting «Instead of writing a letter to you», 6pm drinks and dinner chez MaRia, 11pm Party with DJ Adrian. W is kissing me on the grey couch – I seduce him in the Boudoir ...
Das Treppenhaus ist ideal f체r Kreativit채t, Kunstschaffen, Kunstwerke. The Staircase is ideal for creativity, such as art and craft as well as works of art.
Das Bad in weiss. Wenn ich im warmen Wasser liege und mich entspanne, liebe ich es, zu lesen, zu essen, zu telefonieren oder an neuen Projekten zu arbeiten.
The bathroom is white. L ying quietly in the warm water is relaxing ... during which I love to read, eat, make phone calls and work on new projects.

A porthole not to miss the streetlife while showering!
Rote und goldene Farben sowie dezentes Licht sollen im Boudoir die Sinne anregen: eine Hommage an Marokko, mein Lieblingsland. Die Teppiche und Kissen liess ich von Nordafrika einfliegen.
Red and golden colors and discreet light in the Boudoir stimulates the sensuality: a homage to Marocco, my favorite country. I had the carpets and pillows shipped from North Africa.
Als «Boudoir» bezeichnete man einst einen kleinen Raum, zu dem nur die Dame des Hauses Zutritt hatte. Hier ist das Boudoir ein Rückzugsort, der nach Weihrauch und sinnlichen Geheimnissen duftet. Romantik zu Hause. «Weniger ist mehr», gilt hier nicht. Es lebe der Kitsch!
The «Boudoir» used to be a small room only to be frequented by the Lady of the House. Here the Boudoir is a retreat, smelling of incense and sensual secrets. Romantic at home. «Less is More» does not apply here. Long live «KITSCH»!
Licht-Quellen! Schatten, Licht und Zwischentöne sind «Parfum» für den Raum, eine Fantasie-Quelle und Streicheleinheiten für die Seele.
Light Sources! Shadows, light and shades are like «perfume» for the room. A source of fantasy which caresses the soul!
Kunst & Objekte: Ich liebe es, von meinen Reisen in der weiten Welt Objekte mitzubringen.
Art and Objects: I love returning with objects (treasures) from my travels around the world.
Ich bin eine Sammlerin von Wertvollem, Wertlosem, Ausserordentlichem, Skurrilem, Bizarrem ... I am a collector of valuables, worthless and extraordinary things, bizarre and surreal art.
Arrangieren von Gegenst채nden, KunstObjekten und Skurrilem macht Spass, ist ein Markenzeichen meines eigenen Lifestyles und regt den Betrachter zu Diskussionen an.
Arranging things, if art or bizarre objects is fun and a trademark of my own lifestyle. It stimulates the observer to discussions.
Kreativ sein, gestalten, um-bauen, schmücken, malen eine meiner Leidenschaften. Ich liebe und brauche Veränderung. Ich versuche stets fort zukommen. Zu transportieren, transformieren und zu transzen-dieren. Diese «trans» sind nicht nur für meine Kreativität von Bedeutung, sondern auch - und vor allem - für mein Leben.
To be creative to design, rearrange, rebuild, decorate, paint - one of my passions. I love and need change. always try to get away, to transport, to transform and to transcend. «TRANS» is not only important to my creativity but especially to my life.
Im Garten baden, davon tr채umte ich schon lange. Eines Tages kam ich auf die Idee, mit einem Biotop-Becken (Preis: 80 Franken) ein kleines Aussenbad anzulegen. Diese Wanne l채sst sich mit kaltem oder warmem Wasser aus einem Gartenschlauch f체llen. Nach dem Baden kann das Wasser mit Hilfe einer Tauchpumpe in das danebenliegende Teichbecken gepumpt werden. So spart man Energie und Geld. Bathing in the garden I dreamt about it a long time. One day I got the idea about an artificial pond (80 franks), functioning as a small bathtub outside.You can fill up the tub with a hose with hot or cold. After the bath you can pump the water into the adjoining real pond. You save energy and money.
