OSCHATZ Energy & Environment (Nanjing) Co., Ltd is the sole investment (100% subsidiary) of OSCHATZ GmbH in Germany. OSCHATZ Nanjing was established in 2004 and started its production in early 2006. It is specialised in design and fabrication of waste heat recovery boilers with applications in the Steel, Non Ferrous and Chemical Industries. By its very nature OSCHATZ boiler technology greatly contributes to energy preservation, whilst OSCHATZ waste to energy product line offers proven solutions of reliable waste incineration. A direct consequence of OSCHATZ technology is the

preservation of primary and secondary energy resources. OSCHATZ technical advances furthermore lead to substantial diminishing of emissions such as the reduction of carbon footprints. For design and manufacturing processes, OSCHATZ Nanjing is licensed according to the Chinese Boiler Class A, Pressure Vessel Class A2, the American ASME S&U and the European PED rules. This is complemented with the ISO9001 certificate. OSCHATZ Nanjing is managed by its European OSCHATZ staff and employs about 500 employees. In full compliance with the high
quality standard of OSCHATZ Germany, OSCHATZ Nanjing realized world wide exports among various clients in Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Danish Energy Systems A/S Birkeroed, Denmark Components for burning biomass to generate steam as well as turnkey biomass combined heat and power plants have been designed and manufactured at Danish Energy Systems for more than 35 years. The Danish company has been part of the Oschatz Group since 1996.

Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic The Oschatz Bohemia engineering office is responsible for detail design and detail engineering of Oschatz products for customers around the world. Around 120 employees have worked at the current Oschatz site in Ceske Budejovice (Budweis) since the end of 1994.

Oschatz Services & Solutions k.s. Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic This newest Oschatz subsidiary is synonymous with top-class service worldwide. Founded in 2009, the company’s main task is processing installation contracts for the entire Oschatz Group. Oschatz Services & Solutions k.s. is based in the same building as Oschatz Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice. Spare parts are built or repaired in the OSS manufacturing facility in Zlichov, Praha.

Oschatz Headquarters Essen, Germany Since 1951 the headquarters of Oschatz has been located in Essen in the Ruhr region, the largest industrial conurbation in Germany. This is where the destinies of the entire Oschatz Group are steered, new orders are won and existing orders are processed. The choice of Essen as the central location for Oschatz was taken by Dr Hans Schrag in the early 1950s quite deliberately because of the ideal logistic conditions and the region’s highly industrial character.

Oschatz Energy & Environment Co., Ltd. Nanjing China To be able to serve the markets in Asia, Australia and Oceania quickly and costeffectively, Oschatz has maintained a production plant in Nanjing, China, since 2005. On premises extending to 50,000 m2 with a link to the port of Changjiang (Yangtze), the company has seven production bays with a total floor space of 15,000 m2 producing waste heat boilers and cooling stacks in accordance with Chinese GB standards, ASME standards, TRD/AD standards and ISO 9001. About 500 employees work here under European management, in sales, engineering/ design, in production, finance and procurement.
Oschatz Enerji A.S. Kocaeli, Turkey Oschatz has been producing boilers and waste heat systems in the Turkish region of Kocaeli, not far from Istanbul, for customers all around the world since 1997. In 2011, production was expanded and relocated to a new site. The new premises of around 60,000 m2, situated right by the sea at a deep-water port, provide perfect conditions for production and transport of the components. Oschatz products are manufactured in accordance with ASME standards, the Pressure Equipment Directive, TRD/ AD standards and ISO 9001 on an area of about 10,000 m2 in four production buildings up to 22 metres high.

To ease the burden on the environment and make use of the thermal energy in waste gases, Oschatz has developed systems for cooling the hot, heavily dust-laden, carbon-containing waste gases from iron and steel production plants. Oschatz designs, produces and installs complete converter waste gas cooling systems for oxygen steel works for international steel producers. These systems, also called cooling stacks, convert the generated process heat into steam that can be used for

industrial purposes. Oschatz also manufactures waste heat boilers for installation downstream of both sinter belts and sinter coolers and for use in coking plants and coke dry quenching plants. As usual with plants from Oschatz, each concept is based on the customer’s individual wishes and requirements. This is the only way that these systems achieve the ultimate degree of operational reliability and economic efficiency that is expected of plants “Made by Oschatz” throughout the world.

Oschatz waste heat boiler systems have been used for decades throughout the world in all processes used to extract non-ferrous metals such as lead, copper, nickel, zinc or tin. In these processes both the hot, sticky and dustladen process gases and the often corrosive substances in non-ferrous metallurgy represent a challenge for gas cooling and heat recovery; the various factors have to be much more precisely matched with each other than is the case in other fields.

In recent years power plant technology has been characterised by rising demands in terms of legislation and ever more complex technical solutions. Against this background, Oschatz plans and manufactures plants to meet specific customer requirements for the environmentally friendly thermal utilisation of biomass, refuse derived fuels and residues, using the very latest energy conversion technologies. We offer both complete turnkey plants and component solutions on the basis of sophisticated combustion systems for the thermal utilisation of biomass and solid residues, such as residues from the paper industry, waste wood, sewage sludge, plastics, recycling residues and renewable fuels such as straw, olive stones or rice husks.
