Sathing Phra peninsula is between the Gulf of Thailand and Songkhla lake, caused by the accumulation of sediments. Because of diversity of environment and rich in natural resources, there are human settlement 6,000 years ago, which cause interesting way of life or “Node Na Le”. In the past 40 years, human invaded mangrove forest and changed to shrimp farm causing severe effect to Songkhla lake. After the decrease of “Le” resources, people move out to work in the big city which made important culture fade away.

WATER

High density of working people living in Asoke district has faced many problems such as run-off overflow both on street and footpath, motorcycle running on footpath, and footpath not designing for disabled people. Slow down Asoke is giving a big change to chaotic district. First, slowing down the water by using permeable materials and creating infiltration area will decrease high volume of water which going to pipe line. Second, slowing down the car by creating 3-d pedestrian crossing will reduce accidents caused by vehicles driving. Third, slowing down the people by creating pocket garden for relaxation will decrease stress of working people from works. Creating continuity walking and brailled block along the footpath will help disabled person reducing accident from walking.

SIRADA AUSSAVAVIROJEKUL

Increasing infiltration area to space in front of university by adding green block to catch up water reduce runoff water over the pavement. This big plaza can adjust for various use of space such as market, and student work exhibition.

04 THE SURVIVAL PARK Innovative landscape design project Academic project 2018 Site: Zunyi, Guizhou, China Area: 295 Rai

SITE BACKGROUND

SIRADA AUSSAVAVIROJEKUL

The site is situated in Zunyi province, China. The challenge is how to make the site become sustainable and to urbanize the community, but also preserve their cultures as learning center. At the moment, we have faced climate change crisis, so we designed to deal with living in the situation which water would be rising from ice melting. After water rising, we lost the huge of space under the water. To solve the problem, we have to increase land area floating on the water. The floating elements are made of recycled plastic material which we can made it to function in many ways such as space for recreation, space for growing hydroponics, and space for fishing. Integrated with the way of life that growing crops ,weaving thread, and fishing will make their life sustainable and incomes which come from tourism coming to visit the sustainable model park.To survive from climate change crisis, human needs is necessary for everyone. At the result, we had seperated zoning of the site following needs of human.

05 KHAONGU ART PARK Brownfield reclamtion design project Academic project 2018 Site: Ratchaburi province, Thailand Area: 1,500 Rai

PROJECT INFORMATION

Ratchaburi is a province which rich of art cultures and also this site has a history of art involved. There are clues of Buddha’s low relief carving on the wall of cave. In 1950’s, this place had adjusted to be quarry exploding mountain for rock using in construction. After quarry had been removed from the site, the site has partly restored by both engineers and natures. At the present, there are some erosion problems in the site. So, I developed the place into art park which integrated old sense of space and restored this area at the same time.

09 LIVING HISTORY Urban design project Workshop project 2018 Site: Milan, Italy

Starting from the current Parco delle Basiliche, the project tries to merge both directions, the green one and the future water line. In this point both direction converge with the addition of the new M4 stations, that creates a kind of a new centrality for the future Milan. In this project, our challange is to connect the 2 very important landmarks. To achieve this mission, first we created a bridge between 2 lands. Later on we wanted to create a “Darsena” kind of a place where people can sit, chill, meet and enjoy the beautiful view of the San Lorenzo Church. Most importantly by creating a node that will act as a meeting space. What we propose will help to increase the quality of the area with the help of the new metro line, and create a new “attraction” place in the city.

SIRADA AUSSAVAVIROJEKUL

Furthermore a path next to the canal and at the level of the water guides you thought De Amicis to the new reinvented area.
