Hey Everyone!

want to thank and appreciate everyone who has put in tireless hours still making an effort to participate in events and volunteering during these times!

My name is Kayla Liu and I will be happily serving as your president for the 2021-2022 term! While future plans are still unclear due to our murky situation and us wanting to put everyone's health and safety first, there are still many things in store for the future to make your key experience a great one! My number one goal is to create a space where you want to be and are happy spending your valuable time with us! I hope to create long-lasting friendships and create opportunities, opening doors for everyone!

I hope to see you someday in person! Stay safe, crawl your way to survive through exam season, and meet us on the other side! :)

The month of April has come to a close and May is beginning, signaling that our school year is coming to a close. While our time is coming to an end momentarily, I

Hey Seals! Happy May! May seems like a very tedious month, only because of AP exams. Regardless, school is almost over so just hang in there just for a little bit more and we can finally rest! May is more like a month to get into the use of things. As you guys remember the month of April was primarily highlighted towards our newly elected officers. If you still don’t know who our officers I’d recommend reading the last issue! We’re all friendly and we don’t bite so don’t worry!

Things are also beginning to look normal again! I hope that all of you guys are beginning to get vaccinated. Remember being vaccinated does not only protect you, but also protects the people around you. So if you can, try to get vaccinated! The faster more of us get vaccinated the faster we can begin to return back into real life! Anyways, I hope you guys will enjoy this month's’ issue!

Self Care is something a lot of us forget to do. Sometimes we are often caught up with our workload that we forget to look after ourselves. Especially now with AP exams we’re caught up in wanting to achieve a passing score and so we work hard. A little too hard. Feeling burnt out isn’t healthy, so it is important to maintain that balance of work and rest. Here are a few ways to take care of yourself!

Do something you enjoy! Whether its watching a show or starting a new hobby, it’s good to do this. Sometimes it can feel wrong to be doing what you like because you’re not working. But remember it is okay to be taking breaks. Everyone needs a break!

Talk about how you feel Being vulnerable in front of people can be scary. I too am not too fond of the idea of sharing my feelings to people. But something to remember is that if you are genuinely struggling and you need help the first step is to reach out to someone, whether that be a friend or a loved one. Sharing is definitely not easy, but it does get that big heavy feeling off your chest. Remember if you want help, people won’t know if you don’t tell them. Of course, it is okay if you’re not ready to talk about your situation yet, no one is judging you because that is your story to tell.

Physical Care Physical Care is important as mental health in fact they all play a role within each other, so it is important that you do keep up with your hygiene and eat healthy as those thing do play a factor of how your emotional health will be.
