How to Apply Hair Extensions http://www.sishair.com/how-to-apply-hair-extensions There are two major types of methods to apply your hair extensions at home. You can easily put in sewn, clipped and glued hair extensions by yourself or helped by your friend with appropriate materials. However, if you want a bond one, you have to seek for the help of stylists or professionals. The best hair extensions for apply is virgin hair which is almost the same as your own natural hair and looks sleek, smooth and tangle-free. However, if you don’t have that much money or you want more color or style, you can also consider finding a non-virgin remy hair instead. Besides hair extensions, things needed for applying all types of hair extensions are comb, several plastic hair clips and hair ties. Sew-in extensions need some special weaving needle and thread to sew the hair extensions and similarly, glued-in extensions need the hair bonding glue.
For sewn-in extensions, you’d better buy the specially made weaving needle which is shaped like letter J or C to protect your head and scalp and also makes the sewing-in more fluent. First, use a hair clip to set your hair on the top of head fixed. Make another part just below the place you just fixed your hair with the rat tail comb.
The area between your first two parts is the location of your first track. Divide your hair between two parts into three sections and braid them one above another and when it comes to the bottom, bond it with a small hair tie. Repeat these two steps above till all your hairs are made into tracks that are close together and braided. If you hair is as long as to shoulder height, only two or three tracks are needed. Then take out your hair weft and make it up with a comb. The number of hair weft depends on the number of your tracks and they are equal in amount. Thread the weaving needle and make sure the color of the thread can best fit the hair color. Fix the hair extensions with plastic clips if the hair extensions are shorter than the tracks and clip on top, middle and bottom not to let it loose. Take the needle in hand and pierce it through both weft and braid to sew them together and pull the needle out of the braid and weft then pierce it again. Repeat the method to bind the braid and hair extensions tightly together till you just reach the end of the track. Tie a knot on the thread just as what you do when you finish sewing a cloth. After finishing one track, keep working on another track till all the hair extensions are sew in your hair. If you just have the glued-in extensions, you have to make adjustment to the method above. For example, firstly, make a part from the left ear lobe to the right one and secure the hair above with hair clips. Take some hair glue the size of a nickel and apply it along your scalp, then put the top of weft on the glue and press it for a short while to make them bond together. If there’s any hair out of the horizontal part, you can just cut it. Repeat the step to glue more extensions into your hair and you’ll get a perfect texture. Clip-in extensions are the easiest one to apply and remove. You can even do it every day and use some measure to take care of it twice a day. The first step is very much similar to the glued-in extensions and you need to create a horizontal part from the middle of both ear lobes and secure the hair above with a clip. Use the clip on hair extensions to secure it on your own hair. The method of removing is also to remove the hair
clip.
