Striking a balance between public infrastructure and usable space, the established image of a large, polluting factory, with iconic smoke stacks climbing to the sky is inverted and reintroduced as a breathing entity in the city of Beijing.

The wet scrubber design is modified to have the air sucked in through the perforated skin of the remediation towers. The the dirty air would then go through a series of filtration and purification processes.

Towards the bottom of the chamber, warm steam would be sprayed and stick to the pm 2.5 particles in the air. Then the clean air would contained in the facade of the monocoque structure and a portion of it would be released through the pressurized, perforated ETFE skin. Dirty water would then be pumped down through the legs and into the underground water recycling system.

03 LIBRARY AS INFRASTRUCTURE Fall 2016 Instructor: David Moon | NHDM The prompt is to tackle the existing conflict between bikers and pedestrians both on and off the Brooklyn Bridge, a historical symbol for connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn. Additionally I am reconsidering the role the bridge plays within the community through added program.
Precedent Study: Stuttgart National Library
MODEL IMAGE The Stuttgart National Library is studied for its unique automated book delivery system. The circulation of the library is no longer hindered by re-shelving carts, but books are delivered to each floor using a flexible conveyor belt highlighted in blue in the model.
ENERGY GENERATION DIAGRAM The chart records the amount and types of energy being generated over a typical 24 hour period.

Creating a museum for the Plaster Cast Collection at Cornell University. The site is situated next to the observatory. Considerations for light and material were taken into account in the design.

06 SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION GHANA Fall 2014 - Fall 2017 Instructor: Sirietta Simonchini Cornell University Sustainable Design Team was approached to design a new school for the education of young girls in Sogakope for the Voices of African Mothers. It is of the utmost importance to provide the girls with a safe and protected environment that is also conscious to existing site conditions and local material use. It has started construction at the end of 2017.

07 LIVING ALGAE FACADE Spring 2017 Instructor: Richiee Espinosa Collaborators: Laura Kimmel Chris Andras Ruby Kaur Mi Yao Christina Medina An investigation into how algae may be incorporated into the building facade. This pavilion focuses on how vacuum formed diamond shaped containers maybe connected to create an algae wall that turns the carbon dioxide exhaled by the occupants into oxygen.
08 SmileDirectClub: A New Dental Experience Fall 2016 Slade Architecture (Internship) Collaborators: Stephanie Cheung Ruby Kaur Creating a new in-store dental experience on for SmileDirectClub, starting from the brand identity and concept phase, to the final material choice and detailing. The project is now complete on Fifth Ave.

I was interested in the connection and framing details, as well as experimenting with soaking and bending wooden glu-lam beams.
