Hello Friends, For about twenty years, a significant portion of the proceeds of the Sisters of Notre Dame’s Fourth of July Festival has gone to the support of our Uganda mission. That will be true again for the 94th SND Festival in 2016. This Fourth is unique since five of our national sisters from Uganda are with us at St. Joseph Heights. Hospitality is central to the Ugandan culture, and we know that the sisters are delighted to meet our guests. Besides our East Africa mission, the Fourth of July Festival helps support our urban and early childhood education programs, as well as our retired sisters. And above all it is a day to have a good time with friends and families. We thank you for partnering with us in making the goodness of God felt by so many. Have a great time! Gratefully in our Good and Provident God,
Sr. Mary Ethel Parrott, SND Covington Provincial
Dear Family and Friends, Welcome to our 94th celebration of July 4th – Notre Dame style. We are so happy that you have chosen to come today. We consider you, our family and friends, our faithful supporters and partners in doing the mission of Jesus. We appreciate the many ways you continue to help us fund-raise and friend-raise. This year’s event benefits our SND Uganda and East African missions, the SND urban and early childhood education ministries, and our SND retirement needs. We are grateful to you for spending this day with us. As you leave today, we hope that you enjoyed yourself and were lucky in some way. We hope that old friendships were renewed, new friends made, and memories created. Thank you for sharing God’s goodness with us. Together may we continue to spread God’s goodness in our corner of the world.
Blessings,
Sister Mary Dennise Wagenlander, SND Festival Chair
