Transfer Admission Requirements
Students who have attempted at least 30 semester hours post high school graduation at regionally accredited institutions are admissible if they have earned a cumulative 2.0 GPA. Students who have attempted fewer than 30 semester hours are admitted if they meet the current first-year student admission requirements. Students can apply online at siue.edu/apply.

The following programs require an application in addition to the University admission process. Students must apply by the deadline to ensure consideration for program admission.

Transfer Advising and Registration
Upon admission to SIUE, all students are required to meet with an academic advisor. We encourage students to attend Transfer Orientation, which includes academic advising. If students are unable to participate in the program, they can schedule an advising appointment (siue.edu/advising). Transfer Scholarship Opportunities
To ensure consideration for the scholarships below, students must submit the fall 2024 application and request their official transcript from each college attended by March 1.

Over two years as funding is available
Admitted transfers with a cumulative 3.0 GPA in at least 24 semester hours in transferable coursework will be considered.

One-time scholarship awarded as funding is available
Students transferring from a regionally accredited institution who are members of Phi Theta Kappa with at least 24 semester hours in transferable coursework will be considered.
Admitted transfers students with a cumulative 3.0 in at least 24 semester hours of transferable coursework will be considered. This scholarship is designed to support enrollment of students who are underrepresented in their field of study.
THE SIUE COMMITMENT
SIUE will cover tuition, mandatory fees and course-specific fees as funding is available for qualifying students:
• Must be an Illinois resident
• Family income must be less than $63,575 and assets less than $50,000 based on submitted FAFSA
The SIUE Commitment will help close the gap after utilizing financial aid from all federal, state and institutional sources, including merit-based scholarships.

Housing Application and Deposit
A $125 application fee is required to apply.
The filing date for spring is December 1. May 1 is the filing date for summer and fall. Students can apply online at siue.edu/housing.
