Water Quality Control Operations Program

TheSIUEEnvironmentalResourcesTrainingCenter(ERTC)WaterQualityControlOperationsProgramisaone-year,full-timeprogramof study leading to a certificate of completion. Classes meet Tuesday-Friday for nine months starting in mid-August each year. During the summer,studentscompletea10-weekinternshipprogramwheretheyworkfiveweeksatadrinkingwatertreatmentplantandfiveweeks atawastewatertreatmentplant.

Upon completionofthefull-yearprogram,studentsarequalifiedtoenterthewaterandwastewaterindustryaswateroperators,wastewater operators,distribution/collectionworkers,laboratorytechniciansormaintenanceworkersallforlessthan$10,000.

ParkingonCampus

For courses on weekdays on the SIUE maincampus,parkingisincludedinthe costofthecourse.A reducedpriceis available at checkout for participants who donotneedparkingorprefertopayfor parkingontheirown.Parkingpasseswill beemailedtopaidregisteredparticipants; please provide avalid license plate number toavoidpayingadditionalparkingfines. Theprintedpassmustbedisplayedonthe dashboardoftheregisteredvehicleandis valid only during the times of the course (30-minutegraceperiodisextendedfor travelto and from the meeting location).
