TheSIUEEnvironmentalResourcesTrainingCenter(ERTC)WaterQualityControlOperationsProgramisaone-year,full-timeprogramof study leading to a certificate of completion. Classes meet Tuesday-Friday for nine months starting in mid-August each year. During the summer,studentscompletea10-weekinternshipprogramwheretheyworkfiveweeksatadrinkingwatertreatmentplantandfiveweeks atawastewatertreatmentplant.
Upon completionofthefull-yearprogram,studentsarequalifiedtoenterthewaterandwastewaterindustryaswateroperators,wastewater operators,distribution/collectionworkers,laboratorytechniciansormaintenanceworkersallforlessthan$10,000.

Digital Lifelines: Building Resiliency and Awareness Pleasejoinusforpresentationsthatwillspeakaboutsuicide preventionasitrelatestodigitalmentalhealth.Thetopicswillcover awidearrayofinformationthatwillbehelpfultoprofessionals andlaypersonalike.Theconference’sgoalistoprovideinsightful information,researchandtangibleresourcesthatwillIMPACT suicide. CEUs will be offered for counselors, social workers and nurses.
Aconferencedesignedforprofessionals,paraprofessionals, volunteersandotherswhoworkwithchronicallyill,terminallyill orgrievingpersonsofallagesinhospitals,hospiceprograms, long-termcarefacilities,homehealth,schools,churchesandother community agencies, as well as support groups, funeral service programsandcounselingservicesforthebereaved.FourCEUs areavailableforsocialworkers, nurses,psychologistsandfuneral homedirectors.
Coursesareofferedonacontinuousbasisin10-weekcyclesonline viaZoom.Pleasecheckthewebsiteforthemostup-to-date information. All courses arethree credits and cost is $3,311 per courseunlessotherwisestated.Mustcompleteintroductioncourse toparticipateintheintermediatecourse.

Forafulllistofclasses,pleasevisitbanner.siue.edu/ssbandclickClassSchedule.SelecttheFall2024termandsearchanysubjectyou wouldlike.ClassesnotofferedthroughEducardareclasseswithafullenrollment,non-creditclasses,travelstudy,distanceeducation, classes in which a danger may exist, classes requiring prerequisites, and classes where addeddirect expense may be incurredby the University.
What is not included?
• You will not receive agradeas an Educard participant.
Educard participant may borrow textbooks, as available, at no cost through Textbook Service. You may pick up your textbooks afterthe firstweekofclasses,andyouarerequiredtoreturntextbookstoTextbookServiceattheendoftheterm.
Byholding events in facilities on the SIUE campus, you gain the support and resources of the campus and our people. With a variety of spaceoptions,youcanhostprofessionalseminars,workshops,team-buildingexercises,walksandeventswithconfidence,knowingthat SIUEwillexceedyourexpectations.

For courses on weekdays on the SIUE maincampus,parkingisincludedinthe costofthecourse.A reducedpriceis available at checkout for participants who donotneedparkingorprefertopayfor parkingontheirown.Parkingpasseswill beemailedtopaidregisteredparticipants; please provide avalid license plate number toavoidpayingadditionalparkingfines. Theprintedpassmustbedisplayedonthe dashboardoftheregisteredvehicleandis valid only during the times of the course (30-minutegraceperiodisextendedfor travelto and from the meeting location).
