A VALUABLE EDUCATION When taking into account the price tag of a college education, it’s important to consider the value of the education you will receive. With one of the lowest tuition and required fees of all four-year institutions in Illinois, SIUE offers educational excellence that is affordable. Washington Monthly ranks SIUE among the Top 40 master’s universities in the nation and first among all master’s institutions in Illinois. This is the sixth consecutive year SIUE has been listed. Unlike conventional college rankings, Washington Monthly evaluates an institution’s “contribution to the public good” in three broad categories: social mobility, research and service. U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges of 2016 lists SIUE among the top 10 public universities in the best Regional Universities Midwest
(master’s granting) category for the 12th consecutive year. SIUE faculty are committed to translating innovative research into student learning opportunities and success. SIUE’s Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities program allows students to enrich their undergraduate academic experience and career through research collaborations with faculty. Students design, conduct and assist with scholarly projects in virtually every field of study.
