Here you can find neighborhoods of single- and multi-family residences or unique homes, condominiums, apartments, homes around golf courses and communities with clubhouses, swimming pools and security. Many Florence neighborhoods are compact, pedestrian-friendly and serve mixed uses. Work, shops, schools, restaurants and medical services can be within walking distance, or only minutes away by car or bicycle. There are also several assisted and independent living residences and care centers in the area. Streets and public spaces are safe and comfortable, encourage walking and biking and enable neighbors to know each other. People can take their dogs for walks on the beach, or head down to Singing Pines Dog Park to play with other local canines. Local moving companies are available in town to help residents relocate. Also, the DMV has an office in Florence for vehicle services as well as voter registration. The City of Florence and Lane County have added Accessible Dwelling Units to the area’s housing codes.
