After college I moved on and worked on real estate projects in Illinois and Colorado before moving to Florence in the early 70’s. I began working at Coast Real Estate, Inc, now Coldwell Banker Coast Real Estate, in 1977 and I have been fortunate to be both a witness and participant in the many changes that make this beautiful community what it is today. Today, the business is more complex and detailed. I have a long view of coastal real estate and I strive to remain client focused. I try to maintain a relaxed style and want to make buying and selling an informative and positive experience. Family physician, Clare Brien & I live on some heavily wooded acreage in a modest cottage. With a variety of shops, barn and a rustic guest cabin, we manage to stay busy with constant remodeling and construction. We love our bicycles and kayaks and take advantage of living on the central coast.

I have gained a great deal of knowledge about the foreclosure process and what is involved as well as in the short sale market. I was born in Vernonia, Oregon, and at the age of 4, we moved to Roseburg, where I did all my schooling including 2 years at Umpqua Community College. Afterward, I went to Oregon State and received a degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. I later moved to Eugene and worked in restaurants then ended up buying the Gingerbread Village in 1979 and then the Windward Inn. After 25 years of owning restaurants, I decided to become a real estate agent and have been at Coldwell Banker Coast Real Estate since 2005. I love what I do and I love where I live. People have asked how we could have possibly moved away from Santa Cruz, California? And thankfully, Florence is still the same in that respect, and also offers a wider variety of outdoor activities year round!
