Hiking to Bang Beach Immerse yourself in Con Dao’s nature while hiking through the rain forest and try to spot the endemic animal species such as Con Dao Giant Black Squirrel, Macaque and the Curved-toe Gecko. After about 1.5 hours of hiking to Bang Beach all tiredness will be forgotten - when seeing a blue sea washing up on a myriad of colorful pebbles.

Con Dao Historical & Prison Tour This tour explores the rich history of Con Dao and will delve into its darker side. A series of prison systems were constructed throughout the 113 years of colonization, during which time many thousands of prisoners where interred here. Conditions in the prisons have become the substance of legend with hardships and brutal regimes placing untold adversity on the local population.

“Traditional Vietnamese Music Show December 28th As the daylight slowly drifts away from the horizon, Six Senses Con Dao invites guests to sit down and let their taste buds run free with the Chef’s holiday soirée. While basking in the moonlight under the stars grab a seat, and listen to the traditional local music by artist Ha Van Dung. Dung plays a variety of traditional Vietnamese instruments, including the gourd lute and moon lute. The melodious tunes together with tranquilizing scenery will create quite a poetic mise-en-scéne. In the evening of New Year’s Eve, guests are invited to share the excitement of countdown minute with live performance from Zoo Band, a contemporary acoustic band who was also in the top 10 of X-Factor Vietnam.”

Visit Organic Garden & Mushroom Hut Having successfully integrated Six Senses’ philosophy and approach of nourishment, we focus our attention on sourcing local and natural ingredients. Our extensive organic garden which grows more than 30 types of plants including fruits, vegetables and herbs, is considered as the main supply for all food and beverage outlets. In line with our effort to reduce the use of processed food, a mushroom hut is built nearby, which has also become an essential source supplying fresh produce while also features an interesting experience in which our guests can join a chef-accompanied tour, harvest fresh mushrooms and take them back to cook.

Let’s get cracking & Turtle talk We are proud to be one of the very few places to witness rare green sea turtles hatchling. In collaboration with National Parks, we have become the custodians of selected clutches of turtle eggs, relocated by the National Park team to protect the eggs from being poached from nests on neighboring islands. Our recently completed incubation center, “Let’s Get Cracking” has since been home to many new hatchlings, where our guests are more than welcome to participate in the conservation efforts by joining the early morning hatchling releases.
