Starfield Ansung 1FR is a Starbucks coffee store located on the ground floor of Starfield Ansung shopping mall. The store provides a refreshing and refined space for customers of all ages to rest and connect. The city of Anseong promotes itself as “The City of Masters”, and is known for producing brassware and arts and crafts. The interior design of this coffee store features brass metal accent, and balances this with refined details.

The development, known as Railspur, will bring micro-retail spaces, restaurants, and micro-lofts to the underutilized alley spaces in Pioneer Square.”

HOTEL FLOOR LEVEL DESIGN

32 micro hotel rooms are provided on each floor with 27 rooms equipped with king size beds and street/alley views, and another 5 rooms equipped with queen size beds and views of the lightwell. 2 ADA rooms are available on each floor. I also designed two prototypes for the street/alley view room and the lightwell view room with custom furniture and fixture to make the best use of the limited room layout.

EAT WITH YOUR EYES

With the proposition that the design and fabrication of objects may serve as a fertile arena for the exploration and clarification of ideas pursuant to larger and more integrated architectures, this project requires the designer to devise and fabricate a set of architectural objects including a vase, a plate, a lamp, a table and a stool. The design strategy focuses on the surprise for users’ senses, i.e., a vase for olfaction, a plate for taste, a lamp for visual sense, and a table and stool for touch.
