SNEAK PEEK AT THE AUCTION PROGRAM
Letter of Appreciation Dear SJCS Community, Welcome to the 2016 Auction, Going Places, Doing Things! We are so delighted that you are joining us for an evening of fun, fellowship, and fundraising. For almost fifteen years, the SJCS auction has been a time for us to gather and focus on the great work that our school continues to plan for each year. This event has a history of generous partnership, and we look forward to seeing how we will come together tonight to make our vision a reality. It is an exciting time to be at SJCS! In a culture focused on technology, engineering, math, science and all of the breakthroughs that we see in those areas, SJCS is determined to keep pace, creating a dynamic learning experience, while also fulfilling our mission to fully integrate Biblical truth in all subjects everyday. Because of generous friends in the past, we have been able to continue to keep our technology updated and to allow our teachers to grow through professional development. Tonight’s event will allow us to extend this legacy by raising support to benefit both our teachers and students. We will also have the opportunity to support improvements in the physical space of our school in order to provide an upgraded learning environment for students. Our commitment for the future is to provide exceptional teaching and learning in an optimal space. Our target of $75,000 will fund educational goals and specific needs that are outlined by tonight’s Fund-a-Need program. This evening, let’s celebrate God’s faithfulness to San Jose Christian School! We can look back at many of our alumni and see how they have furthered God’s kingdom in business, ministry, community, and in their families. We want to say the same of the students we have today. We know that God has much in store for our school and the students who attend. May God be pleased as SJCS looks forward to Going Places, Doing Things for His glory in all things. Thank you for being a part of a community that impacts students and teachers generously. We are truly grateful. Joyfully Serving,
Jenn Thompson

Fly on by … Fund-A Need Besides having opportunities to raise money through the silent and live auction, the “Fund-A-Need” portion of the SJCS auction gives individuals fantastic opportunities to help fund a very specific need that the school has identified for the upcoming school year. Please note the following needs that this year’s Fund-A-Need will provide: ! Ten Teacher laptops ($1,000 each) ! One iPad Mobile lab–30 units–for student use ($15,000) ! Three classroom upgrades ($15,000) ! Four projector upgrades ($4000) Obviously, the commitment that San Jose Christian has to technology is seen in these needs. By keeping our educators’ computers current, the teachers are able to deliver the most up-to-date and innovative technology and communication tools available. The new iPad lab will allow our students to have that same updated and upgraded technology with which they will best learn. SJCS desires high level and engaged learning to pervade all areas of the classroom. The smooth and seamless integration in the classroom is preparing all of our students for the world in which we live and for their future. In this same way, by upgrading several classrooms each year, the most optimal learning environments will be created for the students to learn both collaboratively and individually. Please join us tonight as we fund these areas that will directly impact student learning at San Jose Christian School. We have a terrific future to look forward to, and we want our students to excel as they live out our school’s mission to transform culture for Christ.
