2019 Sneak Peek Auction Book

Page 1

Make Your Move Dear SJCS Community, Welcome to the 2019 Auction! The theme for this year’s auction is “Make Your Move.” What will your move be this year? There are so many exciting options. Our target for this year’s auction is $85,000, which will help provide many things, such as new technology, furniture, window coverings and other campus improvements. Our ultimate goal is not just to improve our technology or facilities but to use these resources to help us better equip our students to impact the world for Christ. The money raised in previous auctions has been used to provide some wonderful and lasting improvements for our SJCS community. Since the first Auction, SJCS has replaced carpet, remodeled rooms, installed a new preschool playground, provided technology upgrades, and completed many other improvements. This year we were able to install a new security gate because of funds raised during last year’s auction. Not only is the auction one of the most enjoyable events for our SJCS community, but it is also a great way to support Christian education and provide excellent resources for our students and staff for years to come. A common refrain I hear in talking to parents of former students is that SJCS has had the most impact on their children, more than any other school. Your bid can make a big difference, so don’t hesitate to make your move and bid, bid, bid! Enjoy this evening of fun, fellowship, and bidding wars! In the process you can help us to “Make Our Move” to continue to provide the best possible Christian education and environment for our SJCS family now and for generations to come. In His Service,

Lemuel Hucks

Invest in SJCS by playing tonight’s game to win the GOLDEN PADDLE! The Golden Paddle makes you the banker and gives you $1,000.00 to be used in the live auction. 56 properties are available for this great opportunity! 28 properties from the original Monopoly game and 28 from the American History version. Here are the rules of the game:

Find a staff real estate agent.

Find our staff members, who are acting as real estate agents and see what properties are available for sale.

Buy the property.

Purchase the properties you think will win tonight’s Golden Paddle. Each property is $50. Before the Live Auction we will ask you to stand with your property card(s).

Don’t get mortgaged.

Our auction team will select 1 property and through a process of elimination, property owners will need to sit down if their property card is mortgaged to the bank. Will your property be the selected one for the $1000 Golden Paddle?

Get ready to bid.

If your property is the selected draw, you’ll be bidding big with the Golden Paddle, worth $1000.00 in the live auction.

The Golden Paddle is non-transferrable. Any amount that you bid over $1,000.00 is your responsibility. The $1,000.00 can be used in smaller increments on multiple items.
