Spring Town Hall Tonight
February Board Summary The SJCS Board of Trustees tried something new at its February meeting. The group has been working on strategies that will make a greater number of the year’s meetings more strategic in nature, and the February gathering was the first of these. One topic of discussion at the meeting was the SJCS Endowment and the strategies we want to employ to make future-minded financial planning a natural part of the school’s culture. We are excited to share some of these thoughts at the Spring Town Hall. A second major topic of the evening’s discussion centered on our campus. The trustees agreed that the current state of our campus does not meet all of the needs we have for the future. However, the cost of purchasing or developing a campus at another location is not realistic for us at this time either. What is feasible, however, is a thorough renovation of our current facility, and we are excited to embark on a campaign to get that accomplished starting next year.
Twice each year, SJCS holds Town Hall events to keep parents informed of ongoing initiatives, new developments, and topics related to the future of the school. We have a full slate tonight that includes upcoming events, new and revamped educational programs, leadership roles for parents at SJCS, and much more. The Town Hall runs from 6:30-8pm in the auditorium, and childcare will be provided for $5 per child with a family maximum of $15. We hope to see all of you there!
Financial Drive Update This year’s annual financial drive—Bold Vision, Bright Future—is moving along well. To date, we have raised $63,257, putting us well on our way to our goal of $100,000. This year’s donations have included cash, stocks, and pledges. If you have an idea for a creative way to give to SJCS through our annual campaign, please call the office, and we will be glad to help you. All donations to the drive are 100% tax-deductible.

SJCS Sports Volleyball The Girls Volleyball team is getting stronger each match. With two weeks left in the season the girls are ready to get a winning streak started. Go Tigers!
Soccer Results SJCS 2 – Baymonte 3 Baymonte dealt the boys soccer team its first loss of the season last week. Had a couple of balls fallen for the Tigers, the outcome may have been different. We know there are a lot of things to improve on, and we are lucky to have been tested this early. We will see how the Tigers can bounce back.
SJCS 5 – Achiever 0 The Tigers answered the call. After their first loss of the season, the Tigers responded great with a team win. We saw Isaiah, and Atheer both get a pair of goals.
