RISE UP!
From the Office Join the SJCS Association Today Each May, the SJCS Association holds its annual business meeting to hear about the past year, approve the budget for the coming year, and vote new trustees onto the board. The upcoming meeting is on Monday, May 13 at 7pm in the Auditorium. The Association is the highest level of authority over the school, and you can be a part of it. Membership requires you to sign off on our school’s statement of faith and pay $10 in dues each year. Our governance structure is set up so that teachers answer to the administration, the administration answers to the board of trustees, and the board answers to the Association. That is why SJCS is characterized as a parent-run school, and it is part of what helps create the sense of ownership and community here. Current parents, past parents, employees, and any adults who care about SJCS are eligible to become members. We hope you consider joining the SJCS Association today! You can fill out the application attached to today’s Tiger Tracks if you are interested.
Grand “Friends” Day Save the date (May 10th) for the SJCS Grand “Friends” Day Celebration. Each student is encouraged to invite an adult friend, grandparent, or family member to campus to participate in the day’s events. More details will follow later this month.
