RISE UP!

From the Office Christmas Greetings Advent is meant to be a time in which we place ourselves in a posture of eager anticipation for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He came to redeem this world from the effects of sin and to begin making all things new once again. Friday’s events in Newtown, Connecticut make that yearning for renewal even more acute. Things are broken, and we want them fixed. Yet despite the acts of sinful people, the Bible tells us that God is in control and working His purposes out. The victory over sin and death has been won, and nothing can change that. That is the good news of the gospel, and that is the gift we celebrate in Christ. Remember that truth during the Advent season, and be ready to share its joy with others. Merry Christmas from all of us at SJCS!

Recommend One On Saturday January 26, SJCS will host a School Preview Event for prospective families of all grade levels. In a program we are calling “Recommend One,” we’d like to challenge you, our current families, to invite another family to the event to experience all that our school has to offer. Think of people in your church, in your neighborhood, or in your circle of friends who would be a good fit for SJCS. If the family you invite attends the Preview Event, you will receive a gift from the school. And remember, if that family enrolls at SJCS, you receive $500 in Tiger Bucks!

Take the weeks ahead to think of people you know who would benefit by being at The entire staff of SJCS would like to thank SJCS, and tell them our story. Boys Basketball Update SJCS vs. Legacy Christian | 32-22 The Tigers beat Legacy for the second time this season in another great team win. The pace was upbeat all game despite missing three starters. Alfred anchored the defense and chipped in with 18 points. Calvin was the next highest scorer with 8 points, most coming from Isaiah spotting him on fast breaks. Dylan and Michael also had a couple of big buckets, that broke the backs of Legacy. You can really tell these guys are giving everything they have to give.
