Spread the Word: Open House on January 25 We have the chance to share our story with a larger audience at our Open House this Saturday January 25, from 10am - 1pm. If our current families find at least one other family to invite to the Open House, we’ll be sure to have a great turnout. Please use these next few days to make contact and invite someone who will help us grow the school. Our Open House is a great tool for current families interested in learning about other parts of the school too!
Volunteers Needed! With the Open House this Saturday we need to finish our planting. If your are available on Wednesday, please contact Mrs. Phillips (408) 371-7741.

Tiger Sports Spotlight Tigers head to the playoffs! Girls Basketball
Boys Basketball
SJCS 25 vs Campbell Christian 30 It was an exciting week for the girls team. The Tigers suffered their first loss at the hands of some sloppy play and even sloppier officiating. The opposing Campbell Christian Eagles were so aware of the poor game, they gave us the victory. The loss was felt even after the game because we lost Rivas to a concussion for the rest of the week.
Last week the Boys Basketball Team overcame adversity and won the last 3 out of 4 games and made it to the playoffs for the second straight year. The Tigers played tough defense pressing and trapping their opponents, which led to quick and easy scores. The team showed character and made a strong run in the 4th quarter and scored 21 points but came up short against Achiever with a final score of 50 to 43. Calvin scored 24 points, Atheer 8 points, Joe 7 points and Dylan 4 points. The next game the Tigers took care of business beating Campbell Christian, 37-14. Calvin received the game ball for offense and Dylan for defense. Josh, Michael, Colin, and Atheer all scored. The Tigers played back to back games against Los Gatos Christian to end the regular season. In the first game the Tigers beat the Lions, 47-33 in a tough match up. Michael was aggressive and scored and dominated the boards, which earned him the game ball. Calvin and Atheer led all scorers with Dylan, Colin and Josh contributing. We had a great win against LGCS during our second game. The Tigers controlled the entire game and committed few turnovers and pressured the Lions, which led to a 51-25 victory and a trip to the playoffs. Both Atheer and Josh received the game ball for their outstanding performances. Dr. J (aka Coach Fung) is very proud of the team and their commitment to God, SJCS, and to each other.
SJCS 17 vs LGCS 27 The Tigers started out on fire and LGCS couldn’t handle our press. I was impressed by the poise and presence of the girls in the first half. In the second half LGCS ratcheted up the defense and missing 3 key players made it hard to respond. The girls handled themselves with a lot of class after the loss that felt like a punch in the gut. SJCS 25 vs LGCS 22 We talk about pride, class and tradition in school and in sports. The girls on this team embody that as much as I’ve seen. We had to face LGCS again; a team that just got us the night before. But this time it would be ours! It was a close game, but the Tigers only lost the lead once. It was in the 4th quarter and could have been the end. Led by a dagger 3 pointer from EK the girls composed themselves and pulled in front to stay. It was a physical and gritty game with lots of bumps and bruises. The best medicine is knowing that you gave it all you got. Oh, and icing them down with a victory is always sweet. Scoring in the game was Nia 4, Alicia 4, EK 6, KK 11
