Your support matters

Thank you to our donor community who made the 2020 school year a great success for philanthropy at SJI International in spite of a challenging and unusual year with COVID-19 and no ability to hold the traditional annual fundraising events.

Your support Matters. Members of our entire community, including current and former parents, faculty and staff, alumni, board members and friends of SJI International made the choice to support our school in spite of all the year’s challenges and we have much to be proud of as a community as a result.

In 2020, we received gifts to the Scholarships and Bursaries Fund of $1,000,937.84, and to the Building and Development Fund for $908,351.41, amounting to $1,909,289.25. We are very grateful for your support.

Your support to the Scholarships and Bursaries Fund helps ensure that scholarships are available to outstanding students from Singapore and around the world, regardless of their background. You help us keep our promise that any student who qualifies for admission is not denied a place at our school, simply because they are unable to pay.

Your support to the Building and Development Fund helps us provide the best equipment and facilities for our students to learn, discover, develop and become people of integrity and people for others. It enables

us to continue providing the highest quality valuesbased educational experience to our students, and the opportunities it opens for them and their families.

We hope you will take some time to read this report and celebrate the progress we are making at SJI International with the support of your philanthropy. In addition to sharing the details of the support received, we have also included a story from a current family about why they choose to support the school, as well as stories and updates from some of our former scholars who share how they are faring, what they have achieved since leaving the school, and what their futures may hold. We hope you enjoy reading all their stories and updates in this issue of Humanitas, so you can see what the direct impact of your support has been, and that it inspires you to continue supporting the ongoing work of the school.

Again, thank you for what you do for our students and community. Truthfully we could not do this without you. Your support has a direct and lasting impact. Your support matters. God Bless.

“Your support enables us to continue providing the highest quality values-based educational experience to our students, and the opportunities it opens for them and their families.”
