Scholarships Available

The City of San José offers activity scholarships for children, seniors, and adults with disabilities who qualify Scholarships will cover 50-75% of the class cost Fill out the scholarship form and bring the necessary documents to any City of San José community center Contact any City of San José community center for information.

Camp has a low staff to child ratio of 2:12 and includes skill building, new friendships, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San José Jr. session runs for one (1) week. *Safety is our main priority and we will continue to follow all Santa Clara County and state of California guidelines Please keep your child home if they are displaying any signs of illness and report the absence to your camp.

Dance Arts Academy

Camp Dance

A little bit of everything! Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Gymnastics, Cheer, Singing, and Hawaiian are all taught in this great half-day camp. Participants are placed in age-appropriate classes A snack and juice is provided Great recital for parents on Friday!

F.I.T. CAMP @ SEVEN TRESS

Come join us at F I T Camp, a weeklong camp where your kids will develop a balanced approach of knowledge, skills and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime! Campers will learn healthy habits from our leaders who use evidence-based curriculum This summer, your kids will build friendships, grow their confidence, and benefit from outdoor activities. Price includes a low leader to child ratio of 1:10, a F I T Camp shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning and much more!

Campers need to bring water, lunch* and sunscreen each day *Check with your local community center for information on lunch programs, scholarships, and payment plans. Each F.I.T. Camp session runs for 1 week.

FIZZ-ICAL PHENOMENA & CHE-MYSTERY

Have a ton of fun as we whip up potions and experiment with all kinds of chemical reactions, including growing our own crystals, making sidewalk chalk, and learning the science of chromatography on a Mad Science Lab Coat we get to keep!! Mix it up as we experiment with molecular madness, radical reactions, and “fizz”-ical and chemical reactions. Discover what those crazy chemists are really up to in their laboratories! All campers should wear close-toed shoes Half-day campers bring a snack *Masks are strongly recommended but not required.

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's everything from the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights. This hands-on program will let you learn all about aerodynamics and the world above us Explore the basic principles of flight, build airplanes, test them in wind tunnels, ride a hovercraft and construct balloon copters Discover the mysteries of the galaxy, learn about celestial navigation, and take home a rocket that you have built yourself! Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to bring you the excitement and wonder of space in this new voyage of discovery See the principles of thrust and propulsion at work as we explore the atmosphere on earth and beyond! Watch star dust burn, and journey through a galaxy as you investigate the life cycle of stars. Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in this “mad” planetary tour Probe the mysteries of meteors and bounce around satellite light as you learn about space phenomena It’s out of this world! Reactions In Action

Junior Mad Scientists dive into the realms of the Chemical and Physical world in this crazy week of non-stop action –and Reaction! Kids explore our wonder lab and find eggs that don’t break, ice that doesn’t melt and discover how to freeze time! Our young chemists perform spectacular hands on experiments and continue the fun at home with the gadgets they’ve designed in the lab! Spy Academy

From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers check out spy tech equipment and takehome lots of gadgets! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics and reveal who is behind those crazy capers! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on view of the science that spies use! Children must know how to read and write full sentences Half-day campers bring a snack

Young Inventors

Creative Contraption Warning! This Mad Science camp is designed by you the Inventor! Each day you’ll be given a series of challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors and the most important thing of all – your imagination! With a little bit of ingenuity, you’ll construct catapults and forts, then lay siege to the castle Assemble your own working light stick and prepare to rule the galaxy! While Thomas Edison said, invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration; this camp is 100% fun! All campers should wear close-toed shoes Half-day campers bring a snack.
