2012 CROSS COUNTRY PREVIEW

Coming off of a successful season in 2011 in which the women’s cross country team placed in the top half of five meets, Saint Joseph’s will look to continue its strive toward success in 2012. Under the direction of head coach Kevin Quinn, the squad returns a core group of veterans as well as a plethora of new faces that all have one goal in mind: winning the Atlantic 10 Championships. Leading the way for the Hawks will be this season’s captains, seniors Maureen O’Donnell and Sara Walker. O’Donnell, a four-year distance runner out of Haddonfield, N.J., has had a standout career for the Hawks and is described by Quinn as “the most accomplished runner on the team.” In her first two races last season, O’Donnell led all Hawks with a second place finish at the Charlotte Duels and a 107th place finish at the Paul Short Invitational. The senior captain completed the latter half of the season just as strong, placing second on the team at both the Princeton Invitational and Atlantic 10 Championships, where she finished seventh and 16th overall, respectively. Walker, who hails from Wilimington, Del., is also a four-year member of the squad. The senior captain ran in three meets in the 2011 season and posted a season best time in her final race, the ECAC 5K, finishing in the top five for the Hawks with a time of 19:40. In her first two meets of the season, Walker finished in the top half of both, proving to be a strong force in the 5K. Of his senior co-captain, Quinn states, “Sara has a strong personality in that she leads by example through her work ethic.” Fellow senior Lena Finucane will round out the experience of the senior class. Finucane finished in the top five for Saint Joseph’s four times last season as she competed in all meets with the exception of the Paul Short Invitational. The three-year competitor shattered her personal best time in the 5K by 31.3 seconds at the Atlantic 10 Championships, posting a time of 18:28.7 to hand her a 51st place finish. A core group of seven juniors return this season as well, led by 2011 All-Conference selection Hannah Fuller. Fuller placed in the top five for the Hawks six times last season, including three consecutive first-place finishes on the squad at the Princeton Invitational (6th overall), Atlantic 10 Championships (15th overall), and NCAA Regionals (22:51.6). The junior standout demolished her personal best time in the 5K by 27 seconds, clocking in at 17:55.5 at the A10s. Junior classmates Elizabeth Barrett, Erin James, and Emma Slattery comprised a dynamic trio of Hawks that finished in the top five for Saint Joseph’s three times each. Barrett ran in five races last season, finishing exceptionally strong in the first two meets with 6th and 7th place finishes, respectively. James ran in six of eight races last year, taking 1:17 off her personal best time in the 6K by clocking in at 23:47 at the Paul Short Invitational. James finished second on the team and 33rd overall at the ECACs with a time of 18:19. Slattery ran

three races last season and finished 21st overall and first on the squad at the IC4A Championships, a 5K that featured 94 runners. She finished second on the team at the NCAA Regionals, finishing 61st overall in the 6K out of 199 runners with a time of 22:33.5, and third on the team at the Atlantic 10 Championships, finishing 20th overall in 18:13.8. Returning to the team to round out the veterans for Saint Joseph’s are classmate Emily Chappell and this season’s lone sophomore Taylor Oskowiak, who each finished in the top five twice for the Hawks, and juniors Darcy O’Connor and Paige O’Neill. Junior Hannah Brown, a middle distance runner from the track and field team, will add cross country to her repertoire this season and will be joined by an additional upperclassman in senior Erin Giampietro. The women’s cross country team welcomes seven freshmen in All-Northeast selection Emily Chaundy, LVC Conference All-Star Kathryn Cols, All-League selection Tess Doggett, indoor Nationals participant Lauren Hehir, All-Group II First Team pick Georgiana Honrath, four-year letter winner Erin O’Leary, and District II medalist Sara Radzwilka. With a solid group of veteran experience meshed with the spark of nine competitors in the newcomers, the possibilities are endless and the opportunities exponential for the 2012 women’s cross country season.

2012-13 TRACK AND FIELD PREVIEW

The 2012-13 women’s indoor and outdoor track and field team returns 26 letterwinners from last season, highlighted by four school-record breakers, six ECAC qualifiers, and six individual meet champions. With the addition of 19 newcomers to the already experienced and talented squad, head coach Kevin Quinn has a high expectation for success this season. Led by senior captains Hannah Boyce, Shannon Geddes, Maureen O'Donnell, Genevieve Ruppel, and Sara Walker, Saint Joseph's has an exceptional chance at unprecedented success during the 2012-13 indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.

HURDLES

The Hawk Will Never Die!

Led by last season’s standout Georgia Mason, the Hawks return four hurdlers from the 2011-12 squad while welcoming two freshman into the mix. Mason is back for the Hawks after an impressive freshman campaign in which she won the 60H at Giegengack with a schoolrecord-breaking time of 8.98. Mason ran two one-hundredths of a second faster than the original record holder, Stefani Zabilowicz, whose 2010-11 record previously stood at 8.99. The sophomore led Saint Joseph’s with team bests in the 55H (8.41) and the 100H (14.71) and recorded a second-place finish in the 60H (9.14) at the Princeton 4-Way. Francesca D’Angelo, described by Coach Quinn as a “good, hard-working competitor,” ran in five events last season and notched season bests in the 60H (9.42) and 100H (15.16) at the Delaware Open. Sophomore Kayla Charles, who placed second in the 100H at the Lafayette 7-Way with a time of 14.96, and junior Mia Greer round out the returning hurdlers. Freshmen Dannah Hayward, Carly McGowan, and Tiana Pole will be a welcome addition to the group of hurdlers this season.

Hayward is a 2012 District 2 and AAA Pennsylvania State Champion in the 300H and McGowan placed second in the 100H at the 2012 Delaware State Championships.

SPRINTS

The junior duo of Katie Pratt and Mercedes Yanora return to pace the Hawks in sprinting this season along with an additional wealth of experienced speed. Pratt led the team in the outdoor 400m (57.83) and indoor 500m (1:17.87) and 600m (1:41.82) last season while Yanora took over the short sprints, leading all SJU runners in the 200m (25.99) and 300m (41.49). Four additional sprinters return to compete in the short and long sprints. D’Angelo, Geddes, Greer, and Mason return having set personal best records last season. Junior Jaclyn Kogut is another threat in all sprinting events for the Hawks, from the 200m to the 600m. “Jaclyn is an all-around performer and tenacious competitor, while Mia takes full advantage of her gifts, works really hard, and gives what she has,” said Quinn. Boyce, Ruppel, and sophomores Gabriella Becatini and Charles each posted season bests last season and could be called upon once again for their speed in both the short and long sprint races this season. Hayward, McGowan, and Pole, who will also sprint for the squad this season, are joined by fellow rookie Jazmin Dunlap, a New Jersey First Team All-Star in the 200m, and are expected to add young talent to the already experienced group of sprinters.

2012-13 TRACK & FIELD PREVIEW DISTANCE

Three different medley teams made phenomenal strides in 2011-12, highlighted by the incredible successes of the Distance Medley Relay (DMR), 4x800 medley, and 4x400 medley teams. The DMR team of Walker, Pratt and junior Emma Slattery broke the 13-year-old school record in the event by 3.11 seconds, setting a new record of 11:45.91 at the ECAC Indoor Championships. The time was also 22.73 seconds faster than the ECAC qualifying time in the event. Walker, Slattery, and junior Elizabeth Barrett were also part of the 4x800 relay team that smashed the ECAC qualifying time in the event by 13.31 seconds, crossing the tape at 9:02.93. Pratt, Kogut, and Geddes would be essentially unbeatable last season as they comprised three-fourths of the 4x400 team that won the Lafayette 7-Way in a time of 4:02.02 and three-fourths of the 4x400 relay team that clocked in at a season best time of 3:54:15 at the Atlantic 10 Championship. “Katie Pratt is extremely hard-working, dedicated, and gifted,” said Quinn of a junior that ran on three of those four teams. Experience met youth as D’Angelo and Mason made up half of the 4x100 relay team that took second place at the Delaware Open. A trio of current juniors highlighted the team best times in middle and long distance last season. Slattery led the squad in the 1500m (4:37.88), 3000m (10:02.40), and mile (5:05.02) while classmate Erin James qualified for the ECACs with a personal and team best time of 10:44.68 in the 3000m steeplechase and led the team in the 5000m (17:30.49). Junior Emily Chappell finished out the team leaders in distance as she led all runners in the 10,000m with a time of 38:35.63. This season’s senior captains have quite the resume as well. Walker won the 1500m in 4:44.25 at the Lafayette 7-Way outdoor meet while O’Donnell qualified for the ECACs with her season-best, first-place finish in the 5000 meters (17:31.16) at Giegengack. Rounding out the returners will be senior Lena Finucane, who, if healthy, is described by Coach Quinn as “a major competitive force in middle distance,” juniors Hannah Brown, Lisa Chen, Hannah Fuller, Darcy O’Connor, Paige O’Neill, and sophomore Taylor Oskowiak. Newcomers including senior Erin Giampietro, sophomores Chelsea Mercurio and Marina Rufo, and 10 freshmen round out the distance runners for the Hawks.

2012-13 Women’s Cross Country & Track

JUMPS The jumps section of the squad enjoys a solid amount of depth and experience as six of seven jumpers return for the 2012-13 season. Boyce dominated the high jump last year, winning the New Year’s Eve indoor meet and the Lafayette 7-Way and Delaware Open outdoor meets. Boyce’s jump of 5’ 7’’ at Lafayette was a team best and qualified her for the ECACs. The senior standout also came through in a big way for the Hawks at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships by placing third overall. “Hannah has developed into a very accomplished high jumper,” said Quinn. “She has become serious about her sport and could become a force among Eastern high jumping.” Sophomore Brianna Hunt had a standout freshman campaign in the high jump, posting a personal best of 5’ 3’’ at the Delaware Open. Talent runs deep for the long jump and triple jump categories as well. In her freshman debut as a Hawk, current sophomore Kati Polaski led the team in both categories, with personal bests in the long jump (18’ 4 ¼’’) at the Princeton 4-Way and the triple jump (37’ 1’’) at the PSU Relays. Charles competed in six meets for the Hawks in the indoor season and notched her own personal bests in the long jump (17’ 3 ½’’) at the Princeton 4-Way and triple jump (33’ 8 ½’’) at New Year’s. Ruppel, Boyce, Becattini, and Hunt will return to the long-jump, while Becattini will return as the team’s second best triple-jumper. “We are expecting very good things out of Genevieve [Ruppel] this season once another year of training is under her belt,” said Quinn. Freshman Bridget Neslund, who placed third in the long jump at the Pennsylvania State tournament and fifth in the triple jump at the District tournament, will look to add a young spark to the talented jumps section of the squad. --Led by Hawks of all different levels of experience and talent, the 2012-13 season is already expected to be one for the record books for the women's track and field program.

2012-13 Women’s Cross Country & Track

Finnesey Field has been home to 10 different varsity squads at Saint Joseph’s University as it enters its 84th year. Opened in 1929 as home to the SJU football squad, the field has undergone numerous changes over the years and has been home to over a thousand SJU varsity games, matches and track meets. The most recent upgrade happened in the summer of 2008 as the AstroTurf, laid down in 2001, was replaced with new, state-of-the-art TigerTurf. Additionally, the track received a new coat of rubber material in 2009 to better suit the athletes who use it for all seasons. Home to the men’s and women’s track and field squads, the field has seen other modifications done to it since its inception in 1929. The prospect of a 70,000-seat bowled stadium for football was dashed when the sport was discontinued following the 1939 season. Baseball re-occupied the space in 1947, calling Finnesey home until 1959. In 1960, the original grandstand and the hillside seating near Overbrook Avenue were eliminated as Villiger (now Post) Hall and the Bluett Theatre were built. In the process of the 1960 construction, the field’s elevation was raised five feet to its current location. In 1990, artificial turf replaced the grass, making Finnesey a truly multi-purpose facility. In 1994 the installation of lights furthered the use of the grounds, while new bleachers in 2003 on the hill next to Mandeville Hall were another touch of renovation to a historic stadium. Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer started in 1958 and played every season but one (1960) at Finnesey. Additionally, men’s and women’s lacrosse began in 1993 and have called Finnesey home since their inception, while the women’s soccer team began playing there in 1996. The field hockey team wrapped up its last season on Finnesey in 2007. Overall, the site has seen 1,181 games entering the 2012-13 academic year, and SJU teams have put together a total record of 532601-48 over 83 years.

The Saint Joseph’s Hawk mascot has been flapping its wings for 57 years, having celebrated its golden anniversary in 2005-06. One of the most famous mascots in college sports, the Hawk is best known for staying in constant motion by flapping its wings throughout every basketball game and representing the Saint Joseph’s motto, “The Hawk Will Never Die.” Saint Joseph’s athletic teams have been recognized with the nickname “Hawks” since 1929. At that time, the school’s yearbook editor initiated a contest among the student body for a symbol. More than 100 submissions were narrowed, with “Hawks” winning out over “Grenadiers” by a slim margin. The name was appropriate because it typified “the fighting spirit of our crimson and gray athletes and it is suggestive of the aerial attack which has made our football team famous.” Football, ironically, was discontinued at SJU following the 1939 season. The Hawk has won numerous accolades and was a nominee for induction to the Mascot Hall of Fame in 2008.

2011 CROSS COUNTRY REVIEW

The Saint Joseph’s women’s cross country team put together another solid year of team and individual results in its 2011 campaign. Head coach Kevin Quinn sought to develop a crop of young runners and build a foundation for future success while meshing those runners with a talented group of experienced harriers. The Hawks would experience that success, placing in the top half of five meets, including a second-place finish at the Princeton Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championships. SJU started the season on the right foot with a win at the Blue/Gold Classic in Pennington, N.J. Senior Katie Barrett led the squad with a third place finish out of 46 competitors, clocking in at 19:06. A pair of sophomores followed the senior as Hannah Fuller grabbed fourth at 19:15 and Elizabeth Barrett completed the course in 19:24 for a sixth-place finish. The following weekend, Saint Joseph’s made a trip to Charlotte to compete at the Charlotte Duels and to familiarize itself with the eventual 2011 A-10 Championship course. The second-place finish of Maureen O’Donnell at 18:40.15 paced the women as they won all five of the duels. K. Barrett continued her impressive start to the season with another third-place finish in 18:50.97, and just as she did in the first race, Fuller finished just behind K. Barrett at 19:03.59 to take fifth place. A majority of the team took the following week off from competition before heading to the 37th annual Paul Short Invitational. O’Donnell led the Hawks once again with a 110th finish at 22:19 in a field of 339 harriers. Fuller was the second to cross at 22:38 while K. Barrett finished next at 22:39. At the Princeton Invitational, the women had yet another impressive outing as they took second in an 11-team meet. Fuller led the Hawks for the first time with a sixth-place time of 22:18. O’Donnell would finish

behind her in seventh at 22:26 and K. Barrett cracked into the top 10 with a mark of 22:49. Saint Joseph’s returned to Charlotte two weeks later to compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships. Returning to Frank Liske Park, Fuller earned a spot on the All-Conference team with her 15th-place finish in 17:55.5. O’Donnell finished the course in 16th at 17:57.7 and sophomore Emma Slattery crossed the stripe in 20th at 18:13.8. K. Barrett and Lena Finucane finished the scoring in 32nd and 51st respectively as the Hawks posted a fifth-place finish. From there, it was onto the NCAA Regionals. SJU placed 13th out of 29 teams at the meet, held in Princess Anne, Md. Fuller led the squad for the third consecutive race with a 31st-place time of 22:55.6. Slattery was the second to cross the stripe for the Hawks at 23:33.5 as she competed in just her second race of the year. Erin James followed up with a 71stplace time of 23:53.2, K. Barrett finished 100th, and Finucane finished 106th to round out the scoring. In Saint Joseph’s final excursion, the squad competed at the ECAC Championships in the Bronx. The Hawks were led by Slattery in 21st at 18:21, whose emergence late in the season helped the young group. James grabbed 33rd at 18:39 while Finucane took 56th at 19:19. Emily Chappell and Sara Walker closed out the scoring as they finished 62nd and 70th respectively. The Saint Joseph’s women’s cross country team turned in a number of positive results in both the team and individual sense. The women have a number of building blocks for the future, and the Hawks will look to remain in the top half of the Atlantic 10 in the coming years.

2011-12 TRACK REVIEW The 2011-12 Saint Joseph’s women’s track season was highlighted by a number of standout individual performances in both the indoor and outdoor scenes. The squad relied on senior leadership that meshed well with a group of gifted young Hawks. Seniors Anna Casey, Emily Coldren, and Kelsey Rose led coach Kevin Quinn’s charge throughout the year as the team took third at the Lafayette 7-Way and 15th at the Colonial Relays. Opening the season at the ninth annual Jack Pyrah Invitational, a pair of freshmen stole the spotlight with two second-place finishes. Kati Polaski began her career with a second place mark in the long jump while Georgia Mason took second in the 55m hurdles. From there, it was on to Princeton’s New Year’s Invitational where junior Hannah Boyce led the way with an indoor-best of 5 5 ¾” in the high jump to take the crown in her collegiate debut. Polaski went on to shine again in the second meet of the year, earning Rookie of the Week honors for her fourth-place effort in the long jump. Upon returning from winter break, the women got back to action at the Princeton Quad meet. Boyce again highlighted the day as she tied for first in the high jump while Mason took second in the 60m hurdles. Rose went on to post a season-best in the 1000m (2:56.78) to take fourth. Two weeks later, junior Maureen O’Donnell paced SJU at the Thompson Invitational with a win in the 3000m. Also leading the way was sophomore Emily Chappell in the 5000m and junior Danielle Osborne in the 500m, each of whom finished second in their respective races. One week later, three Hawks took gold on the second day of the Giegengack Invitational. Rose earned the win in the 800m while O’Donnell won the 5000m and Mason took the 60m hurdles. Mason’s time of 8.98 gave her sole ownership of the school record just two weeks before the A-10 Championships. Competing at the Lafayette/Rider Invitational, senior Katie Barrett paced SJU with her 5:02.97-mile to finish second on the weekend. Mason chipped in to take sixth in the 60m hurdles while senior Stefani Zabilowicz finished eighth. In postseason action, Mason tied her school record in the 60m hurdles at the A-10s to take fifth as Saint Joseph’s finished 12th in the indoor season. Helping to score for the Hawks was sophomore Emma Slattery in the mile (5:04.60) and Rose in the 800m (2:19.72). At the ECACs in Boston, the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team of Sara Walker, Katie Pratt, Rose and Slattery took down a 13-yearold school record to take sixth at 11:45.91. Also competing in the finals was O’Donnell in the 5000m as she took 17th with a mark of 17:36.76. Kicking off the outdoor season, the squad traveled to Easton, Pa. to compete at the Lafayette 7-Way. The team strung together

wins in the 1500m, 4x400m and high jump as Boyce qualified for the ECACs in her first outdoor performance. Boyce led the field with a 5’ 7’’ jump, which would mark a career best for her. Walker earned her first win of the year in the 1500m with a time of 4:44.25 while Lauren Wenzel, Jaclyn Kogut, Shannon Geddes, and Pratt came together to finish the 4x400m in first at 4:02.02. The next weekend, SJU finished 15th of 27 at the 47th annual Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va. Boyce again paced the Hawks as she captured third in the high jump. Mason and Zabilowicz continued their impressive seasons as they finished sixth and seventh respectively in the 100m hurdles. To close out the weekend, the DMR team took fourth as it finished the race in 12:02.80. From there, the Hawks moved on to the Delaware Open where Boyce earned her second win of the outdoor season in the high jump. The 4x100m team of Mason, Coldren, Zabilowicz and Francesca D’Angelo covered the 100 meters in 48.84 to take second place. A week later, the squad traveled to Princeton, N.J. to compete in the Larry Ellis Invitational. Slattery guided Saint Joseph’s with a personal-best in the 1500m (4:38.32). Boyce and K. Barrett also highlighted the weekend as Boyce finished eighth in the high jump and K. Barrett notched a personal-best in the 3000m at 10:15.92. At the A-10 Outdoor Championships, Boyce led the way again as she finished third in the high jump at the University of Massachusetts. Sophomore Erin James also had a solid weekend, taking sixth in the 3000m steeplechase at 10:44.68. All told, the senior leaders on the Saint Joseph’s women’s track team produced a number of good results and top-notch performances this season. They have helped provide guidance to a crop of younger runners that will inherit the task of carrying SJU to the top half of the Atlantic 10 in years to come.

ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE

On March 2, 1975, the idea of what is now the Atlantic 10 Conference was conceived. What started as an eight-school, men’s basketball-only affiliation has grown into a 16-university, 21-sport league that is universally hailed as one of the best conferences in the country. That growth and prominence is a direct result of the ideals and commitments of the member institutions of the Atlantic 10 – Butler University, the University of Dayton, Duquesne University, Fordham University, The George Washington University, La Salle University, University of Massachusetts, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, University of Rhode Island, University of Richmond, St. Bonaventure University, Saint Joseph's University, Saint Louis University, Temple University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Xavier University. In 2011-12, the Atlantic 10 was proactive in navigating the sweeping conference realignment issues, adding Butler University and Virginia Commonwealth University, both of which began full membership on July 1, 2012. The league was declared the “winner” of conference realignment by several media outlets, arguably strengthening the league to its best-ever lineup with a record 16 members institutions. The additions were part of a fiveyear Strategic Initiative Plan that was adopted during the 2010-11 academic year. The 16 member institutions of the A-10 are united and strengthened by their diversity. Each is extraordinary in its educational mission, whether of a Catholic faith, a private university or a land grant institution. The varied pursuits of each member prove that there are many threads that weave the fabric for a great conference. The Atlantic 10 Conference, with a total population of over 82 million people within its geographic footprint of nine states and the District of Columbia, will crown champions in 21 sports this year: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's golf, women’s lacrosse, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field, women's rowing, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis, and women's volleyball. The presidents and chancellors of Atlantic 10 institutions, in conjunction with Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade, have made a strong commitment to making the academic and athletics equation a successful one. Over the years, the league membership has strived to better recognize the academic accomplishments of its studentathletes. The Commissioner's Honor Roll, which

From Willings Alley in Old City Philadelphia to Stiles Street in North Philadelphia to its current location on City Avenue, Saint Joseph’s has continued to grow and change with the times. The University combines the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence, a history of service and an ideal campus location to produce successful students who strive to make a good world even better. Full-time, undergraduate day enrollment comprises approximately 4,650 students. Graduate, evening and executive programs push total enrollment to more than 8,000 students.

THE JESUIT TRADITION OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Saint Joseph’s nationally-recognized academic reputation is confirmed by ongoing acknowledgment in Barron’s, U.S. News & World Report and Peterson’s. The Jesuit tradition of intellectual inquiry and personal concern manifests itself in small, challenging classes taught by a caring faculty. Graduate assistants do not teach, so undergraduates can be sure they are receiving the very best educational experience from trained experts. One-on-one interaction between students and faculty is a reality at Saint Joseph’s. A solid liberal arts curriculum provides across-the-board learning for every student. Supporting that curriculum are comprehensive academic majors and learning facilities. The result is a broad education that prepares students not only for employment and graduate school, but for life itself. In the fall of 1998, SJU opened the $25 million Owen A. Mandeville Hall, which houses the Erivan K. Haub School of Business, the Center for Food Marketing and the region's first "Teletorium" and "Moot Boardrooms." An 87,000-square-foot international academic center featuring state-of-the-art distance learning technology, it is located near the corner of 54th Street and City Avenue.

A HISTORY OF SERVICE The students of Saint Joseph’s University are dedicated to making today’s world even better. A natural spirit of volunteerism has enabled the University’s community service programs to become the most popular extracurricular activities on campus. In addition, a Service Learning program allows students to receive academic credit for their work outside the classroom. SJU offers local, national and international opportunities for student service. From North

PHILADELPHIA SJU’s Philadelphia location gives students access to two worlds. The campus resembles a park, surrounded by the stately homes of Philadelphia’s historic Main Line suburbs. Yet students have access to the cultural, commercial and recreational activities of downtown Philadelphia – only a short ride away. SJU students take frequent advantage of the artistic and cultural resources Philadelphia offers, as well. They visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; the Franklin Institute Science Museum; the Academy of Music, which houses ballet and opera; and the new Kimmel Center, home to the Philadelphia Orchestra. In addition, SJU students enjoy rooting for Philadelphia’s teams in the four major professional sports leagues.
