A fresh graduate from University of Khulna, A highly organised and efficient individual, whose thorough and precise approach to projects has yielded excellent results. Throughout my academic career, I have discovered a philosophy that entails design as an interdisciplinary collective effort to respond to contemporary needs and future issues. I believe great design is the result of collaborative work combined with passionate, innovative, sensitive values that transforms a place or object into a unique solution that responds to human needs.

Mru-wüa-kua THESIS

Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) is the most complex region in Bangladesh where different ethnic groups are found. Among the ethnic groups living in Chittagong Hill Tracts, MRU (Murong) is a small ethnic minority group who live scattered in the hill district of Bandarban. Mru community lives in Lama, Ruma, Alikadam and Thanchi Upazilas near Chimbuk mountain of Bandarban district. Mru people are peaceful and timed. Their Economy mainly depends on jhum cultivation and wood lumbering. Craftmanship of artefacts as well as unique build forms are their cultural strength. The building process of Mru is the most sustainable and environmentally effective.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

► Use of industry made energy extensive materials & non traditional building materials. ► Tribal people depending on Jhum cultivation only inspite of having unique craftmanship. ► A culturally rich ethnic group is being hampered by the influence of Nontribal people.

PROFESSIONALLY ADDRESSING THE URBAN CONTEXT & NEED THROUGH PHYSICAL DESIGN

MOVE TO MULTILEVEL

A performing art center is a place where arts are performed & displayed for recreational purpose. Bangladesh has been blessed with rich traditional art and culture of Bengal. As a part of Bengal delta, diversified culture is noticeable here, where a sustainable cultural pattern has been raised and perished by us. On the verge of urbanism, the Rural taste of art is fading away day by day. The project aims to revive the traditional art environment & create a public exposure in urban area so that the urban people can get the chance to feel the essence of our own traditional art and culture. LOCATION: K H I L K H E T ,

DHAKA

●Proposed site of Bengal Center ●Adjacent to Dhaka Mymensingh Highway ●Near residential & Community Area ●Accesibility Good ●East-West elongated

●Limited knowledge about traditional art.

Objective

●To promote cultural exchange. ●Ensuring Cultural Exposure.

●Need for exposition.

●To achieve An Art Responsive Built Environment.

PROGRAM

●Revieve the Deltaic Art Environment to Urban form of Present time.

Rephrasing ‘Apart’ment

On the verge of urbanization in Khulna city, apartments have become quite popular as people are concerned about their safety, security and other amenities. The word apartment itself bears the true meaning how it has parted people from interacting & sharing in the vertical box. The worst affected are the children living in apartments. Their development is hampered due to lack of space, excessive supervision and sharing. To be noted, playgrounds play a vital role in this process of their growth. We explored “Apart”ment in terms of child development (ensured through proper neighborliness) in a vertical living. The ground floor of the mixed-use complex served both the outside and inside community, whereas the vertical playground was layered and merged within the living facilities, ensuring interaction, sharing, surveillance & security for the children living in the building. The site is located in Rupsha area, Khulna city. The area already houses residential facilities for city people. The habitants are mostly single and joint families having school going children. The number of working mothers are noticeable as well. So, such project can be fruitful in terms of fulfilling above purpose.

“Forces are movements. Crystallized movements need into a massive concrete, into the steel incited a long dusty committed on.”

– Santiago Calatrava.

Elevated Metro Railway Station is a new dimension in the transportation of Dhaka city. It was a project of following the contemporary masters. The architect I followed is Santiago Calatrava. The concept of this project has been derived from the philosophy of this Spanish architect. Santiago Calatrava who is a sculptor always derives the concepts of this project from nature like human figure, human eyes, birds’ wings etc. In this project the main concept is derived from the movement of a speedy animal.

DESIGN OF A METRO RAIL STATION LOCATION: DHAKA

STUDIO V

MOTION OF A LEOPARD

A leopard, a horse or any kind of speedy species make a cantilevered shape when they are in motion. At the time of the attempt to movement all the loads of the body come to the ground from a certain point and the maximum portion is in cantilevered way.

● Two side entrance for both car & bus. ● Moving walkway direct from pedestrian. ● Ticketing from the lower platform. ● Escalators for quick movement.

CONCEPTUAL S K E T C H E S

Factors:

Less foot print use. Maximizing cantilevered structural members. Overhanging members have been maximized towards the green space to achieve a visual balance in eco-friendly architecture.
