Spino can gently but purposefully meander through a room and be extended ad infinitum. A modular sofa whose gently rounded lines inspire creativity in terms of shape and colour. A sofa without legs. Without front and back. With or without a backrest.

Designer

Stefan’s ambition is to create designs that provide new solutions to old problems and to develop new products that are adapted to the times we live in and the lives we lead. He sketches his ideas by hand and with the aid of CAD programs and builds his own prototypes in the traditional, time-honoured way. The end result is products that have evolved gradually through a process of careful thought and meticulous precision. Stefan’s interest in new materials and new techniques, together with his knowledge of both traditional craftsmanship and modern industrial processes, is a constant source of unique and innovative products.

From idea to finished product

“I wanted to create a sofa that can adapt in size and shape to different spaces according to the setting and the need. A base without legs, a design that is equally attractive viewed from the front or the back, and modular sections that can be linked together. The result is Spino, which means ‘backbone’ in Esperanto. ”

Unique with it´s distinctive prism-shaped design.

The prism-shaped modules are uniquely designed for stability and provide ample and comfortable leg space. Additionally, the generous legroom helps prevent the fabric from becoming soiled with unwanted stains, particularly those caused by shoes.

The Spino sofa enables meetings between people and can be adapted to fit different spaces. Back to back. Eye to eye. 90 degrees or all the way round. Along a straight wall or standing alone. Everything is possible.

An open invitation – from two directions – to sit, chat or hold a brief meeting.

Spino is suitable for many different environments, predominantly lounge environment, but basically anywhere you want to touch down and sit relaxed and comfortable.

Thanks to nosag and the implementation of moulded foam, you can experience exceptional seating comfort and support.
