** 10 – 11 ** Marker on tour
Why such a statement? We have not been standing still the last decades, in fact we have been constantly moving, improving our binding systems to grow with the market’s demands. And now we’re on tour! As the inventor of the safety release binding our internal quality requirements are extremely high. You might think it’s because we have a reputation to defend, but in fact our standards are mainly created by the passion of our engineers, who, together with our team riders, spend every free minute on snow. At Marker they have the chance to design and prototype their dreams and are encouraged to draw upon every resource available. This is the essence of the Marker culture. Limits are pushed, the unproven proven, the impossible accomplished; in skiing’s top echelon the product needs to be perfect. A Marker product is not only engineered but also tested beyond the extreme of extremes prior to entering the market. And now, after two years of development and building upon the knowledge gained with the Duke innovation we are proud to introduce the most modern and progressive touring binding system on the market: The Marker Tour F10 and F12 Modern Touring requires up- and downhill performance. Light weight, fast access and convenient handling to brighten your day and touring enjoyment. Whether you expect the worst or simply ski down the regular slopes, the binding should perform even under the harshest circumstances and deliver all the power you need--from boot, to binding and to the ski. The brand new Tour F12 and F10 offer everything it takes to bring touring to a new level. -- * -Riding Free ... and one louder The Baron gets a face lift and more power with a new release spring and ISO top setting 13 – tougher than ever. For lighter riders and girls we are happy to introduce another addition to the Royal Family range - the Squire, available in 2 color combinations. Providing an ISO range from 3 - 11, the newly designed toe and heel construction feature excellent free ride and freestyle characteristics and boasts super light weight, low stand height and robust construction. -- * --

HolloW Technology Our fibre-reinforced frame base plate provides impressive riding stability and is yet very light due to the gas injected hollow construction. 5

Back Country Comfort (BCC) Touring Mechanism The patented, ergonomically shaped lever under the boot allows comfortable opening and closing. The position prevents the binding from unwanted release and unparalleled security.
3
Balance Switching the lever to touring mode moves the whole binding 40 mm backward, allowing a more comfortable walking position and keeping the ski optimally balanced for kick turns and steep terrain.
4
Climbing Aid The titanium climbing aid offers two positions with 7° and 13° which can easily be accessed with the ski pole, even in an unstable standing position. Integrated elastomer padding
7
Base Plate The wide frame construction is secured at several positions, perfectly distributing the pressure for unparalleled skiing performance. 2 sizes are available for optimum size range and stocking efficiency.
8
Gliding Plate The AFD plate is height-adjustable to provide for a large range of ski and touring boots.
9
Triple Pivot Compact Toe The new, very compact toe comes with a cross-axis toe spring. Sole holder rollers and gliding AFD provide extra protection and security comparable to Marker binding models. Why should touring skiers accept less protection? An aluminium strut brace stiffens the whole construction, providing added support while remaining extremely light weight.
dampens the impact reducing the irritating traditional “clack” and allows more comfortable hiking.
6
Touring Crampon Tailor-made and super light anodized aluminium crampon for the F10 and F12 bindings, available in 82 mm and 92 mm widths. Contrary to other systems the mounting position is right under the heel in order to provide maximum pressure and to ease hiking due to an optimal crampon position. Touring brake The brakes can easily be removed – even by the end user. Just remove the two fixation screws, slide off the brake, remove the brake arm, and re-install the heel spacer. The wide platform for the boot provides power transmission. Standard safety straps available on the market are adaptable to the F10 and F12 Tour models.
10
Hollow Linkage Heel The newly developed heel features touring boot optimized sole holders. The aluminium hollow axle saves weight and maximizes torsional stiffness. The high energy absorption reduces unwanted release making this heel ideal for the touring application.
DOWNHILL
We follow the simple principal: “what goes up must come down”. But for Marker it is not just about coming down—but having the descent of your life! There are numerous factors that can spoil your day and limit your enjoyment. With precise development and product testing we have worked to eliminate the potential negatives and maximize uphill and downhill performance. –we have focused on light weight, reliability, comfortable and known Marker toughness. These features exist in the markets from the currently available models—but not in combination; until now! -- * --

light . tough . on tour Touring BINDINGS
The touring category is growing and increasing in importance and commercial opportunity. As this market grows the expectations of the new touring customer grows as well. Why should a touring skier accept poor downhill performance? Why should a touring binding offer less safety and poorer protection than a standard binding? Without neglecting the musts for a reliable touring binding - light weight, durability, easy handling even in harsh conditions - the F 10 and F 12 Tour bindings have addressed the previous weaknesses in the market’s current binding offering.
