PRICES All prices are quoted ‘per person’ unless otherwise stated. Land component prices are priced in Japanese Yen (JPY) and trip payments made in Japanese Yen (JPY). The offer, prices and all terms and conditions in the brochure, on our website and all our promotional material are subject to change or withdrawal without notice prior to final payment being received by SkiJapan.com. BOOKING To secure your booking, a 20% Non-Refundable deposit of the total trip invoice is required within 7 days of receiving our confirmation. Your payment is required; otherwise your reservation may be automatically cancelled. Some properties may require deposit payment inside the standard 7 days and an increased deposit to secure the booking. Payment of a deposit indicates acceptance of these conditions. Please note all bookings will be secured when 1) The deposit is received 2) The names of each passenger travelling are provided 3) Flight itinerary is sent. BOOKING FORM It is the responsibility of the person who makes the booking to inform all other people traveling under their name of these booking conditions. This person is responsible for checking that all names of people traveling, travel dates and arrangements are correct at time of confirmation. If there is a discrepancy SkiJapan.com must be notified immediately. Subsequent changes may incur amendment and/or cancellation fees. The person who confirms the booking with deposit, acknowledges these conditions and shall be liable for all fees for the entire traveling party in the event of any cancellation. SkiJapan.com is not obliged to continue to hold any booking unless deposit and other requirements as listed above are received. PAYMENTS SkiJapan.com Japan office will accept payments by the following methods. Credit card, or direct deposit into our bank accounts. Agents payments can be made via direct deposit. Please note: there is a 2.5% charge when paying with Visa, MasterCard, American Express Card & other Japanese cards. SkiJapan.com Hong Kong office will accept payments by the following methods. Direct deposit into our bank account or Credit Card. Agent’s payments can be made via direct deposit only. Direct deposit in JPY to our HSBC Hong Kong account. Credit card payments are available and processing fees wil apply. Please contact your consultant for more information. FINAL PAYMENT Full payment is required 60 days prior to guest arrival date (unless otherwise specified). Bookings made between 15 – 59 days from departure, require full payment within 7 days of confirmation (unless otherwise specified). Bookings made less than 14 days before departure require full payment immediately on confirmation. At the time of payment we will require written confirmation by email or fax of deposit verification. NB: Nonpayment of deposit or final balance may lead to automatic cancellation of your booking. PART PAYMENTS SkiJapan will not accept part payments for trips. Deposits and full payments only are accepted. AMENDMENT FEES These are charged if amendments are made to bookings (e.g change of dates or decreasing numbers of people travelling) after deposit is received. Amendment to bookings will incur a fee of 5,000yen admin fee per trip per amendment; this is in addition to any supplier amendment fees charged. If an amendment involving a reduction in the number of persons travelling occurs at any time the below cancellation penalties and terms apply to that persons trip who iscancelling. The package price will be amended accordingly to
new passenger numbers. For selected properties amendments involving reducing the nights of stay and/or the number of units will be treated as a cancellation. The cancellation policy applies. CANCELLATION FEES In the event of cancellation, more than 60 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of 20% of total invoicewill be charged (loss of deposit). For cancellations made after final payment or within 60 – 45 days prior a cancellation fee of 20% of total invoice will be charged in addition to any airline, accommodation and supplier fees. For cancellations within 45 days up to 100% cancellation fee will apply. No allowance or refund can be made on any unused package components once travel has commenced. If a person or persons cancel from a SkiJapan.com booking, they and the remaining people in the booking will be liable for the additional accommodation costs that result from the cancelling persons. EARLYBIRD DISCOUNT Earlybird discounts apply to selected SkiJapan. com products and are detailed in our brochure. Earlybird offers are not applicable in conjunction with any other discounts offered. To be eligible for the discount the booking must be paid in full by specified date or as per each offer’s conditions. All Earlybird discounts will be removed from the booking in the event final payment is made after this date and normal payment conditions will apply. SkiJapan.com strongly advises all clients in a booking pay by the Earlybird deadline. All clients in a booking may be liable for increases in the accommodation rate on certain properties if this condition is not met. AIRFARES FROM HONG KONG Airfares, taxes and conditions can change at any time and the only way to guarantee airfares quoted is to purchase tickets immediately. It is not always possible for SkiJapan.com to advise clients of increases or changes to conditions issued by the airlines. TRAVEL INSURANCE Travel insurance is highly recommended at the time of deposit to cover cancellation, accidents, baggage loss, personal liability, additional expenses and strikes. Please contact an insurance company in your country of origin for a policy. TRANSFERS Within the standard package, customers will be booked on a SkiJapan.com charter bus or when unavailable a public bus. Guests booked on a public bus will be met by a SkiJapan. com representative on arrival at the Resort bus terminal. ACCOMMODATION SkiJapan.com reserves the right to substitute and confirm alternative accommodation of a comparable or superior standard if necessary should that described in the brochure not be available. EXCLUSIONS Packages do not include travel insurance, equipment hire or lessons, meals (unless specified) or any other items including those of a personal nature. Apart from those detailed in a quote/ invoice, costs are at the clients’ own expense eg: passport and visa fees, inter-airport transfers. If flight or other travel delays lead to missed connections that have been pre-paid, SkiJapan. com cannot be responsible for train fares, taxis or other extra expenses. RESPONSIBILITY SkiJapan.com acts only an agent for the companies or persons (principals) providing or offering the means of travel, accommodation and other services (the principals’ services) and bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions under which the principal’s services are provided. Accommodation, transportation and
any other services are subject to availability at the time of booking. The principals reserve the right to change the prices of their services without notice. Confirmations and invoices are subject to re-issue if incorrect through error or omission and the passenger accepts liability to pay the correct costs for services. SkiJapan.com reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any tour or passenger booking or to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a Tour or passenger booking. LIABILITY To the extent permitted by law, neither SkiJapan. com nor anyone on its behalf can be held liable for any alterations, act or omission on the part of the service providers/principals for any consequential, loss, death, injury, accident, delay or damage occasioned to any person or their belongings (including baggage) in connection with the tour or holiday offers supplied by SkiJapan.com whether or not such loss, injury or damage is due directly or indirectly to any default, negligent act, misrepresentation, breach of duty, or omission of the travel operator, their respective representatives, servants, contractors or agents. Matters outside the control of SkiJapan.com may affect the services offered and SkiJapan.com will not be responsible for any such matters. Programs, offers, tour prices, services and conditions are current at the time of publication of promotional material are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances, including increases in operating costs. SkiJapan.com will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveler who contravenes the law or regulation of any country visited. SkiJapan.com strongly advise against the use or possession of prohibited drugs in foreign countries and warns travelers that if found to be involved in the use or possession of illegal drugs on a SkiJapan.com tour or travel package, we reserve the right to discharge the traveler from a tour. This is a zero tolerance policy. FORCE MAJEURE Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, neither we nor any Third Party Supplier can accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our Third Party Supplier’s contractual obligation is prevented or affected by you or otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure. In these booking conditions ‘force majeure’ means an event which we / the supplier of the service (s) in question / the Third Party Supplier could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, whether actual or threatened, war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, epidemics, fire and all similar events outside the control of the party concerned. TOUR SERVICE: The tour services in Hokkaido are operated by SkiJapan Co. Ltd, a company incorporated in Japan, who acts as the tour operator for SkiJapan.com in Japan, not as SkiJapan.com itself. The operations of SkiJapan Co. Ltd are subject to the jurisdiction of Japanese law, including liability and legal indemnity. BOOKINGS THROUGH TRAVEL AGENTS/ WHOLESALERS Please note that a Travel Agent/Wholesaler does not receive monies from clients as an agent for SkiJapan.com and SkiJapan Travel Co Ltd accordingly bears no responsibility for such monies.
