Getting to Lake Tahoe BY AIR
BY ROAD
Lake Tahoe is served by three international airports.
All-weather freeways branch out from gateway airports to reach Lake Tahoe. All local Tahoe highways are carefully maintained to ensure that your ride between Tahoe’s resorts is quick and comfortable.
San Francisco International Airport Is approximately 200 miles by road from Lake Tahoe. Reno-Tahoe International Airport A short hopper flight from San Francisco to Reno Tahoe will then leave you with an easy one hour drive to Lake Tahoe’s fabled ski resorts. Sacramento International Airport Lake Tahoe can also be accessed through Sacramento International Airport (approximately 120 miles by road from Lake Tahoe).

From San Francisco (and Sacramento) Interstate 80 will take you all the way from San Francisco via Sacramento to Lake Tahoe’s north shore and Reno. Highway 50 branches off Interstate 80 at Sacramento and will take you to Lake Tahoe’s south shore. From Reno Highway 80 will take you to Lake Tahoe’s north shore.Highway 395 joins Highway 50 to take you to Lake Tahoe’s south shore.
