My Love, My Soulmate, My Best Friend

The moment you left me My heart split in two. One side filled with memories the other side died with you. I often lay awake at night when everyone’s asleep. Taking a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek. Remembering you is easy, I do it every day. But missing you is a heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart, in there you will remain. Forever coated with memories of our love to take away the pain.

Oh, how I miss so much of the little things-- like the smile on your face when you came home from work. How you would always repolish my toenails when the polish chipped, our movie nightsband our favorite TV series Yellowstone. Most of all I’m going to miss my travel partner, going to buy you more clothes when you would always say “I have plenty, I don’t need anything else”, and I would say, “yes you do”, you wore that on the last vacation. I will forever remember 2022, when we took several international trips. One was to celebrate your milestone 60th. Another was my double nickels (55th) in Aruba when you pulled off a big surprise and had me in tears. I looked at you and said, “Job well done; you were finally able to pull something over on me”.
