Introduction
• From a database that we have already developed for a company, it is asked to be analysed how the data can be used more effectively to enhance the business performance . • In this report, despite of the limitations and the issues that we have, will be presented some recommendations for future development of the website and the database. • Also, some parts of the database will be shown for the purpose of justifying why they were developed by this way and explaining what is the purpose of them.
Limitations
• We haven’t seen how ours and the competitor’s website looks like • We don't have the numbers of how many people visited the website every month • The data that is provided is only for a short period of about three and a half months • We don’t know who is our target audience and what they are looking for
Total Number of Visitors per Month

VISITS

Number of Visits by Source
Not a lot of people visit the website
Even if they do, they don’t purchase our products
Issues
The website is not advertised enough as a result there are not new visitors We don’t have the results that we want even if a lot of time and money are invested People are choosing our competitor than us
Recommendations
• • • • • • • •
Advertise and promote the website on social media platforms Post content of the website on LinkedIn on a regular basis Use email marketing to update people with our new products and promotions Research the competitor’s websites and what they do Create customer’s loyalty schemes Keep the layout of the website simple not to overwhelm the visitors Explain the value proposition on landing pages so it’s clear Install web chat to support the visitors
Justification of forms
• By choosing a simple design the user interface is much easier to work with and it is not confusing or tiring • By putting titles to every form is more understandable for the user what kind of information must be added • Also, by putting “next” or “previous” buttons the user can explore easier the forms • Finally, buttons such as “exit”, “print” and ”add new” make tasks like these to be done quicker and easier as well
