A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT As we begin 2024 with a few feet of fresh snow and the postcard perfect holiday season that made Aspen/Snowmass the world-renowned destination it is today, the real estate market remains strong. The changing economic conditions, demographic shifts and the continued adaptation of our community post-pandemic has presented our market with many challenges and opportunities. With remote work and the desire to live and recreate in our valley still on the up rise, the demand for residential real estate is still substantial. In 2023, Pitkin County recorded $2.7 billion in residential sales with the average price of a single family home in Aspen being $16.3 million. As the trend of low inventory and high demand continues, we?ve seen new developments sell out before a shovel even hits the ground. This is especially true in Snowmass Base Village, where we had a total sellout of Cirque-Viceroy to the tune of $98.2 million in sales. The fact that they have sold so quickly demonstrates the fervor created by the demand in this market. We are especially proud of our market?s performance and the contribution we?ve made here in the Roaring Fork Valley. Since we joined Slifer Smith & Frampton f ive years ago, we have risen in real estate total sales volume company rankings from 22nd to 5th overall with just over $528 million in total sales for the year.
