A Letter from our Market President
OUR BUSINESS HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT THE PLACES PEOPLE CALL HOME,
and the pandemic made something very clear to us—that we’re really in the business of community. For the people who make up SSF, that means we’ve been finding ways—every day—to support each other, and to support our families, friends and neighbors.
As we head into a new year, I continue to be both amazed and proud of the strong performance of our Slifer Smith & Frampton (SSF) team here in Summit County. In this fastpaced, competitive market, we are team players with like-minded objectives and goals who love to collaborate and offer each other support.
Strong demand and low inventory continue to drive prices up. At the conclusion of the third quarter, the Summit County team quickly reached $1.8 billion in closed sales, and both transactions and dollar volume are up. The average cost for residential properties in Summit County has reached more than $1.1 million—a significant jump from $896,425 YTD in 2020.
Across all markets from Silverthorne to Copper to Dillon to Breckenridge, sales volume is up. We look forward to finishing strong with a promising fourth quarter and to do our part to keep everyone healthy for a successful ski season at all our Summit County resorts.
We are thrilled to finally return to a sense of normalcy, in part because of our team’s commitment to have a 100% vaccinated workforce across all four of our markets. We join other leaders in our mountain communities to protect the beautiful place where we live. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to be the most approachable, locally owned brokerage in Summit County. We can’t wait to get back to doing the work we love, in person with shaking hands and smiling faces, the way it is meant to be. Nothing is more important to us here at SSF than our community. It is essential to our business, essential to our friends, essential to our families, and essential to our lives. That’s backed up each and every day by our firm’s Broker Associates and through our philanthropic work with the Slifer Foundation. We are committed to supporting our community. Recently, we were proud to host the Six-Million Dollar Band at Ten Mile Music Hall in Frisco, where we raised $10,000 for several local non-profits that all play critical roles in our community. We were absolutely thrilled to be able to gather with everyone and give back to a community that we love.
As we approach our 60th anniversary, SSF continues to execute a vision that prioritizes service, local expertise and careful stewardship of our mountain communities. Today, SSF has 33 offices including five right here in Summit County. SSF has listed and sold more property than any other real estate firm in the mountain corridors and maintains the leading market share in many neighborhoods today.
Most of all, we are invested in educating people about this beautiful place where we live, work, and play. We look forward to seeing you in town and on the slopes.
