With residential and land sales volume surpassing the $1 billion mark for the second year in a row, 2016 was a year of conservative growth for Summit County Real Estate. Year-over-year growth in sales volume slightly outpaced growth in transactions, pushing values upward. County-wide, average sales price rose 2.5%, averaging $563,580 per sale. Gains were seen in average sales price across all communities, in most market segments including singlefamily homes, multi-family homes and homesites. Falling inventory is likely a factor in rising values, as availability of properties for sale continues on a downward trend. The local real estate market is healthy, and Slifer Smith & Frampton is proud to be the #1 real estate brokerage in Summit County. With $402.5 million in residential and land transactions last year, our knowledgeable team of brokers helped clients sell more mountain real estate than any other brokerage in Summit County.
