Footnotes: Angel Rodriguez is the recently retired Director of the Biblical Research Institute of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Born in Puerto Rico, he has served as president of Antillian College and academic vice president of Southwestern Adventist University. He is a member of the American Society of Biblical Literature and the American Academy of Religion. He is the author of several books and has a monthly column in Adventist World. A native of Missouri, Katy Van Arsdale moved to Maryland and began attending Sligo two years ago. She came to the area to attend graduate school and this year will finish degrees in Library Science and History. She works in DC at the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library. Her hobbies include camping, watching old movies, and shopping at Eastern Market.

Mary McFarlane has a Masters degree in Social Work. She recently transferred her membership from England to Sligo. She is an outgoing, vivacious person who loves flowers, music, playing scrabble, reading and traveling. She has three children and two grandchildren.

Wendell Osborne, a native of Panama, is a retired commercial portrait photo journalist. He is an avid lover of music of the great masters, especialy of the Baroque period. He is a Church Elder and an associate Sabbath School teacher. He and his wife Cora are the proud parents of four daughters and a son.
