Welcome to Sligo Church. Now that I am officially a grandfather, it has led me to have several conversations with my daughter about the challenges April 26, Sunday that many young parents face as they attempt to adjust Evelyn Kulski Funeral Service, Sanctuary, 10:00 a.m. their lives to having a newborn in the home. One of the challenges that many first-time parents will face is April 27, Monday the persistent crying of their child. There is probably no greater initial Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. challenge and adjustment that these parents experience than coping Administrative Board Meeting, Fellowship Hall A, 7:00 p.m. with the cries of an infant during all hours of the night. As first- time parents, I must admit that there were moments when the constant April 28, Tuesday crying of our daughter in many ways truly tried our patience. And Sligo Bell Choir Practice, SAS Room #114, 7:00 p.m. when I say that she “tried our patience,” what I mean is that her persistent cries throughout the night brought us to the point where we felt April 29, Wednesday ready to throw in the proverbial towel and cry out, ”We surrender all!” Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. In today’s message we will examine what it feels like when our persis(or by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m.) tent cries to our God appear to be ignored and have finally brought us Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 7:30 p.m. to the point where we are tempted to throw in the towel. - Charles A.
