welcome
Welcome to Sligo Church. Christmas Day has come and gone. The music has stopped and only memories of wrapped gifts remain under the tree. As the year December 29, Monday comes to an end, we anticipate new beginnings. We Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:00 p.m. make New Year’s resolutions to improve our image. Even though we realize that our goals are lofty, we still December 31, Wednesday dream of change in the New Year. Dr. Larry Evans, our speaker today Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. shares, “We are each created in the image of God but sometimes we (or by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m.) focus more on the image than on God Himself. No matter how hopeKnitting Ministry is cancelled less our condition, or how much we would like to give up, we need Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal is cancelled not despair. God is in control of our world and of our own destiny. We must not lose the ability to dream but we must learn to dream the January 1, Thursday dreams God gives and not allow self-absorption to distort God’s bigger Church office will be closed for the New Year Holiday plan. The new year before us is filled with amazing possibilities. Our January 4, Sunday dreams must not be conditioned by the world around us or the world Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:00 a.m. within us. We must allow God to fill us with His own God-sized-and55+ Club Brunch/Potluck, Fellowship Hall A, 10:00 a.m. shaped dreams. When that happens we become the change-agents Knitting Ministry, Discipleship Room, 11:00 a.m. God and the world so desperately needs.” - Cheryl Wilson-Bridges
