Just your presence would be appreciated! Sligo Game Night: All are invited to join us in the Fellowship Rooms tonight, from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., featuring games, good food and fun. Snacks will be on sale to benefit Sligo Family Ministry. SWAG Church is held today in the Memorial Chapel, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for tweens and earliteens, grades 5 to 8. Guest speaker, Dr. Boyer-Patrick, will share a message based on the theme, “A Family Affair.” Don’t miss out! Sligo Book Club will meet on Wednesday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Discipleship Room to discuss “Skipping a Beat” by Sarah Pekkanen. Nightfall - a black-tie event, hosted by Sligo Young Adults, will be held on February 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Maggianos in Chevy Chase. Enjoy an evening of fine dining, giveaways, live music and a photo booth to capture the night’s most memorable moments. Tickets are required. Financial Workshop: Have you ever wished someone would show you how to prepare a budget for yourself or how to balance your checking account? Or what about finding a reputable person to call for home and appliance repairs? These and other financial issues will be discussed at the Financial Workshop on Sunday, 2:00 p.m. in Fellowship A, sponsored by the Heartlifters and for the Heartlifters. Welcome to Sligo! Today we continue our series on the church as community. Gerson Roeske has been a Sligo member for over 33 years and greatly enjoys church life and fellowship. He works in the finance field and balances this with music, reading and the many opportunities that the DC area offers. He also volunteers for an Adventist children’s ministry, Reach.org The WAU Music Festival Band and Symphony Orchestra features select music students from across the Columbia Union, the Southern Union Conference, as well as members of the WAU Concert Winds and New England Youth Ensemble. These students have spent the last three days rehearsing and are proud to share their hard work and talents with you today.

We are sad to announce the passing of William Mathi, on February 6 at the age of 92. His funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, here at Sligo.

She leads Sligo’s Guest Ministry and is a “Homes of Hope” host. Treasure A. John, soprano, has been attending Sligo since summer, 2017. She is currently pursuing a course in Education with Colorado Christian University. She finds fulfillment in uplifting others through song, writing and counseling and is a firm believer that there is power in the name of Jesus.
