Welcome to Sligo Church. There is probably no other word in the human language that is so misunderstood and abused as the word love. What is it about this February 14, Saturday simple four letter word that throughout the annals of Sligo Adventurer Club Meeting, Junior SS Room, 1:00 p.m. time has continued to baffle our minds? You would Homeless Ministry, Discipleship Room, 2:00 p.m. think that a word used as often as it is and by so many be more easily understood. Love has been and continues to be the February 15, Sunday most popular theme used in just about every segment of society, but Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:00 a.m. we as humans have yet to get a handle on it. There is a well known Florence Tilkens Memorial Service, Sanctuary, 11:00 a.m. song that says, “what the world needs now is love, sweet love. It’s the February 16, Monday only thing that there’s just too little of.” But how can that be? How can Regeneration Ministries is cancelled love be the most dominant theme in our music and movies, but yet it Sligo Church Office will be closed can be said that we still don’t have enough of it? Could it be that the February 17, Tuesday love that the world is in desperate need of may not be the love that it is singing about? But if it can’t be found in our movies or our music, is Sligo Bell Choir Practice, SAS Room #114, 7:00 p.m. there still hope it can be found within the church? February 18, Wednesday - Charles A.
