March 5, Wednesday Sligo Ringers, SAS - Room 114, 7:00 p.m. Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 7:30 p.m.

The celebration of the Lord’s Supper in many churches is one of the least attended of all services. When you pause to think about what this service represents, you can’t help but ask why? When Jesus first introduced this holy meal to His disciples, He painstakingly shared the meaning behind the emblems of the bread and wine, so the Holy Communion has always been a time for deep reflection and introspection on the part of the believer. Today, as we pause to celebrate the Lord’s Supper, the question that each of us needs to ask is, “What does this service mean for us today? Is it to be viewed merely as symbolism, something that serves to remind us of a greater reality or is there a deeper meaning for us to explore? My prayer for each of us today as we become engaged in every aspect of our worship, is that God through His Spirit will lead us to discover the answers that we so desperately need.
