Project summary

A house is building where people live in and conduct their private lives. It is a place to dwell, and to feel at home. The architecture and expression of what a house is has changed dramatically with time, and will also change based on the owner, site, and climate. The culture of the society and social strata will also have a profound effect on how a house is arranged in terms of space. In this project, we were expected to design a personalized house which can become a home for a selected family at a given specific site.

First and foremost, we had to interview our client and understand the client’s background, attitudes, and requirements. The design, or the brief based on your discussions with the client will be developed.

Maximum size of the house we were supposed to design should not exceed 300sqm in area, and the house had be a single unit with maximum 3 bedrooms. We also had to visit the assigned site to understand the site conditions in terms of its setting, topography, and nature.

After the discussion with the client and analyzing the site we could easily come up with the concept that would be vital for the entire designing process.
