ABOUT ME
I am Chathurya Jayasinghe. I started my journey of architecture which was inspired by my childhood thought to do something good for the world using my way of thinking and creative ability.
Now I am an undergraduate student who is reading the degree BSc in Architecture awarded by Liverpool John Moores University conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. As a creative thinker, I highly appreciate the freedom and independence of thoughts.
I am a proud Sri Lankan who is passionate to experience architecture while enjoying my designs and a good team player who put maximum effort to achieve the group objectives. I have a high level of confidence in myself and can extract the essence of traditional and new technologies

PROJECT SUMMARY
The SLIIT, is currently providing Day care facilities inside the SLIIT premises. At present, there are thirty children in the center and that includes children of SLLIT staff and non-staff parents. An external private party under SLIIT guidance and supervision runs the center. This Design project will be to study the activity of Pre-school and Day care center, by understanding the user(s), its functional requirments, and to create a new Day care center with a Pre school for 60 children of different age groups starting from 1+ years. The building design will reflect and enhance the identity of the institution while harmoniously blending with the surrounding context and creating a sense of place for the occupants of the preschool and Day care center. 2022 Portfolio Chathurya Jayasinghe 02

PROJECT SUMMARY
The Pottery industry is falling under Rural Industry promotion Ministry of the Sri Lankan government, is keen on establishing a new pottery promotion and production center, to uplift the traditional pottery industry and make it viable for the traditional potters by coupling the production with design and marketing teams. This Design project will be to study the activity of a Pottery center, by understanding its functional requirements, current issues and to create a new Pottery center with Design, production, promotion, and sales.
