When working out alone, it can be easy to lose motivation. After heading to the gym to perform the same sweat sesh time and time again, Steppen co-founder, Cara Davies, found herself in exactly that workout rut. She then started dreaming up a more engaging way to move; Steppen is a new-gen fitness app that’s unique in that it combines the best elements of existing social platforms, in a fitness context. It’s Tiktok meets Spotify for fitness. Using Steppen’s interactive platform, users can upload video snippets of themselves performing individual exercises and then combine them together in sequences to create new workout mashups. Users can also access countless exercises filmed by other creators to keep themselves inspired and then build a sequence using both their moves and others – like a music playlist in Spotify.
